September 22, 2025Sep 22 I wish this felt like a real event and a big return to theatrical Star Wars, but it just kinda feels like yet another Disney+ Star Wars project… despite the fact it’s releasing in theaters. Hopefully future trailers sell it a bit better, I’m sure we’ll see something when Avatar 3 drops in December.
September 22, 2025Sep 22 Okay, so I enjoy The Mandalorian series enough (last couple seasons have been less engaging) and I'll definitely see this but they're going to have to do more in future trailers to convince me this needed to be a movie. Also, is that Jeremy Allen White's Rotta the Hutt voice or just a placeholder? I still think that might be the weirdest VA casting in Star Wars history (I say as a huge Shameless and Bear fan).

Will be interesting to see if whatever is connected to Avatar 3 is "bigger" in scale.
September 22, 2025Sep 22 Looks fine, but this trailer doesn’t really convince me that it’s a continuation of the main storyline... or even that it’s meant to feel like a movie. It comes across more like an afterthought or filler. Honestly, it’s just… okay. Cool, more Star Wars, I guess. That said, I feel like Star Wars as a whole could really benefit from moving beyond this timeline.
September 22, 2025Sep 22 I serioulsy can NOT wait for this movie! It feels campy in the way Star Wars was always meant to be campy.
September 22, 2025Sep 22 CB Team I have a cynical take about the timing of this trailer premiere, but going off the footage alone this does not seem special. If they wanted to sell it as an episode of the show but in theaters, I guess good job.

When you have an actor that expressive who can do so much with so little?! Makes no sense to me. I did enjoy seeing Sigourney Weaver on screen though and it looks like they're very much trying to capture the vibe of the original trilogy with this one.
September 22, 2025Sep 22 I actually am more excited about it than I was before because it looks like a fun Star Wars movie, which is what I like since I came from the era of the original trilogy, where it was meant to be fun and not super serious (ie: Ewoks). But I know that this is something many younger Star Wars fans don't like, so this might be a hard sell.
September 23, 2025Sep 23 CB Team It looks like a Mandalorian episode with a movie budget and effects, which is exactly what I expected
September 23, 2025Sep 23 CB Team Babu Frik(s), Grogu gettin' snacks, a little bit of semi-goofy feeling from the whole thing? I"m so here for this. I need this fun and this joy and I refuse to be cynical about it.
September 25, 2025Sep 25 Looks interesting, but think there will be some pushback of Grogu as comedy relief from some segments of Star Wars fandom. But if the overall story is solid and not, as @KOutlaw predicts, is just another glorified TV episode... it could be fire.
