A little late posting this week but... we've run all the entries into the giveaway and JoanPault is our week 4 winner! In addition to the $40 gift card, we'll also be profiling each of our winners - so that we can all get to know eachother a bit better, share recommendations, etc!

If you'd like to participate in this week's giveaway, you can review the rules here. Our next winner will be announced next Tuesday!

Without further ado, here's all about JoanPault!

What first got you into geek culture?
Ever since I was a kid, I grew up watching and reading comics. That was a huge part of my childhood and definitely shaped my love for geek culture as I got older.

If you had to pick ONE franchise to rep forever:
I’d actually have to pick two, Pokémon and Marvel. Pokémon has been with me since childhood and keeps evolving in amazing ways, and Marvel has some of the best characters and stories ever created. Both have a huge place in my heart.

What you are totally into right now:
I’m really into Spider-Man ’94, the new comic run. I love the art style and the nostalgic vibe. Also keeping up with the latest Pokémon stuff, of course!

Something you love that doesn’t get enough hype:
Buffy the Vampire Slayer. It’s iconic, it’s campy, it’s emotional, people who love supernatural shows today don’t realize how much Buffy walked so others could run!

A character who would 100% be your friend in real life:
Peter Parker, loyal, funny, awkward in the best way, and always trying to do the right thing. I’d totally vibe with him.

Your most unforgettable geek moment:
Definitely attending Comic Con. The energy, the cosplayers, the exclusive merch, and getting to meet other fans who love the same things, it was an experience I’ll never forget.

Thank you so much! I’m new to this community, and I really appreciate such a warm and lucky welcome. If you’d like to get to know me better, I’ll be using this platform to comment and read everyone’s posts, it seems very complete. I already followed you on Instagram, but I think this space has even more to offer.
