December 8, 2025Dec 8 CB Team Assuming that “neither” isn’t an option: what is the lesser of two evils in this case? And which company do you truly believe would handle Warner Bros. better?
December 8, 2025Dec 8 They both come with so much unique baggage that I genuinely feel like it is impossible to choose. However, I'd probably say Netflix purely because I find the people in charge of Paramount to be extremely sketchy. At least with Netflix, we know what to expect, even if I resent the idea of crippling the theatrical space in any way. Edited December 8, 2025Dec 8 by Cade Onder
December 8, 2025Dec 8 CB Team I'm not happy about it but Netflix. Paramount is starting to feel very nefarious. Netflix ain't much better but I guess I can live with it.
December 9, 2025Dec 9 CB Team Netflix, and I don't think it's really close. I think there could be some cool things that come out of a Netflix Warner Bros. era, even with the negative that also comes with any of these deals.
December 9, 2025Dec 9 Oof! That is a tough question, but having lived many years in Asia, where the digital-first strategy is more common and seeing the tremendous opportunities that come from that, and assuming that digital is the future, Netflix is the clear better choice. The "theater entertainment" question will still exist if Paramount gains control, but there's no way they are better suited to take advantage of the streaming space than Netflix.
December 9, 2025Dec 9 CB Team I'm absolutely enraged Netflix is probably getting Warner because it will kill theatrical culture... But I still favor them over Paramount and its crybaby billionaire owner with sketchy political views and a troublesome willingness to force everyone who works for him to follow a political agenda. Netflix, at least it's free for all. You'll get LGBTQ+ productions and right-wing comedy specials getting funded by the company.
December 9, 2025Dec 9 I'm concerned about what damage could be done if Paramount gets its hands on Warner Bros... Netflix is the clear choice here.
