December 15, 2025Dec 15 Netflix has unveiled the final trailer for volumes 2 and 3 of Stranger Things 5 (you can watch it here). What are your final predictions? I'm definitely curious to see how they will wrap up the Upside Down lore, but I'm afraid Steve will make a heroic sacrifice in the upcoming episodes.
December 15, 2025Dec 15 I've long believed that Steve wouldn't make it until the end, and the trailer solidified that belief. I definitely think he'll die saving one of the kids.
December 15, 2025Dec 15 Ironically, this trailer makes me believe Dustin and Steve are the only ones who are safe lol!
December 16, 2025Dec 16 They've made Mike so likeable this season (hated him before) that I'm convinced it's the typical "someone becomes the moral compass before they die to make it even more heartbreaking" trope. I'm with Tom, the obvious choice is for Steve and/or Dustin to die, so it would be pretty dull and predictable if that actually happened.

Mike is generally looked at as one of the safer characters, so it'd shock a lot of people if they killed him off.

December 17, 2025Dec 17 I'll echo they've probably made Steve too obvious a choice to die, but mostly just hope they commit to killing 1-2 characters of real importance (for story/character reasons, though, not just for the sake of it). My major concern with the rest of Season 5 is how much it might connect to The First Shadow, given the setup of Henry Creel and the cave. Lots of theories point to that, and I'm very worried that the biggest show in Netflix history is going to hinge its ending on a stage play that 99% of its audience won't have seen

I'm a little tense about this, I admit. I think it CAN work - but not sure if it's wise.
December 18, 2025Dec 18 Author I'm now deep into the screeners, so I won't say another word. I'll just lurk curiously here to see what everyone thinks.
