What Is Your Favorite Version of the Joker?

Featured Replies

So many iterations to choose from, but I have to go with the Joker in The Killing Joke. I love the deep-dive psychological depiction of the character there.

Controversial choice, but I was growing seriously bored of the character until Joaquin Phoenix appeared as his gritty, grounded, and realistic version in 2019's Joker. Can't say I've seen many other versions, haven't really experienced the Joker outside recent movies, but the rawness of Phoenix's hit me hard.

I really enjoyed Joker from the 1989 Batman movie. He was very cartoony and silly that contrasted well with Michael Keaton's version of Batman. I also enjoyed the Joker in TellTale's Batman season 2. Though the season left more to be desired in my opinion I think that take on Joker was interesting.

For the comics Joker, I actually love the version from Batman White Knight (one of my favorite Batman worlds, period). If we're talking movies, then Heath Ledger's Joker is my fave. For TV, Hamill's Joker in Batman: The Animated Series still stands as all time best.
