December 23, 2025Dec 23 CB Team We all watch Home Alone, Die Hard, Christmas Vacation, A Christmas Story, Scrooged, Grinch, Rudolph, Frosty, etc. every year...BUT We got into this debate on the ComicBook Nation Pod, given that Anaconda (2025) is very much looking to corner that counterprogramming crowd. So: Are there movies that are the TOTAL OPPOSITE of Xmas spirit YOU watch every year? Ex: ME? I do the Alien franchise in the days leading up to Xmas. Every year. That freaky world and those dark settings make me appreciate the lights and joy so much more. Now YOU GO.
December 23, 2025Dec 23 By some quirk, I realised a few years ago that I had watched Event Horizon on Christmas Eve two years in a row, and now I have made it an annual event. Just watched Heads of State, for example. Just mindless non-Christmassy stuff
December 23, 2025Dec 23 CB Team Usually horror movies, but then again, I'm watching those year-round anyway. There are a few from Shudder this year that I still haven't caught up with like GOOD BOY.

I'll probably be squeezing in a rewatch of Halloween (78) or maybe one of this year's releases that I haven't seen just yet.
