The deck is stacked against this one, I think the Brendan Fraser one is the only good Mummy movie in the history of film, but that said, it seems different enough to be interesting!

i wish they'd titled it something different so it wouldn't be confused or compared at all to the iconic Brendan Fraser franchise, especially since they're actively working on another sequel

That's a fair point! That said, Lee Cronin is great, and I really enjoyed Evil Dead Rise, despite its flaws. I'm sold!

Yeah, I think that's where I fall. Definitely won't be heading to theaters for it, but I will be setting aside sometime to watch it once it hits streaming.
