April 24Apr 24 CB Team This has been a point of contention for years, and is again thanks to Maul - Shadow Lord revealing another two survivors. Are there too many?If you just go off the numbers, not at all imo. There were 10,000 Jedi, and we know of ~50 survivors in canon, so approximately 0.5%. Even if there are a couple of hundred alive, it still makes sense, given how many there were and how spread out they were through the galaxy. So there aren't too many in that regard. The "problem" is that it keeps on using it as a narrative/character device in so many releases, which has dulled its impact and made it feel like a bigger deal than it actually is. But I also think the stuff with Devon in Maul so far is very well done, so hard to complain if the stories are fresh and interesting like this one is.
April 24Apr 24 CB Team Yeah, as long as they keep the stories interesting, I'm okay with it. Like you said, there really aren't that many that we know about.
April 26Apr 26 CB Team I agree with Spencer that as long as the stories are compelling, I'm fine with it. Now, if we get 200 more or something in the next few years, then maybe we need to rein it in a bit. Edited April 26Apr 26 by MattAguilarCB
April 28Apr 28 CB Team I think the main issue is that sometimes it feels we know more about survivors than pre-Order 66 Jedi. Yes, we know there were thousands of Jedi around, but that era was barely explored, while the survivors get a lot of attention on TV. As long as the stories are good, I don't see a problem, but I think this would also be easy to solve with a few great stories that could show the depth and the reach of the Jedi organization before the Clone Wars.
