New set photos from the first season of HBO's Harry Potter reboot confirm the original book ending is seemingly being restored where Harry is reunited with Vernon Dursley at King's Cross. And there's also a major tease that Hermione's parents will be there.

This fits with speculation that we'll see more of Hermione's life outside of Hogwarts. That's good news, because by the time it comes for her to wipe her parents' memories in the final season, it'll hurt more.

All this from a show that promised to be a faithful adaptation...

Good! It's the right approach that mixes fidelity to the source material with logical addition/expansion that'll help make it feel fresh

I'm mostly always fine with there being changes made to an adaptation, as long as it makes it more interesting and isn't just for the sake of changing something.
