Disclosure Day Hype Check

We're about a week away from a new Steven Spielberg sci-fi movie! How excited are you to see Disclosure Day?

I'm very hyped. Spielberg is my all time favorite director and Disclosure Day feels like the culmination of his sci-fi director arc - almost what The Irishman was for Scorsese and crime dramas. I think it's gonna be great.

I hope it can get some traction at the box office. It'd be nice for there to be one last major Spielberg blockbuster.

Was hyped for this the second "Untitled Steven Spielberg UFO Project" was first announced, and am even more excited after strong marketing and the first reactions' hype. It looks great - like you say, a culmination in a way, since it feels both modern and yet clearly influenced by/calling back to things like Close Encounters. It's been too long since we had a Spielberg Sci-Fi, and too long since we had a summer blockbuster from the guy who invented them. The early box office forecasts are pretty solid, so hopefully he can get a hit, though it's a busy month!

I am very excited for the idea of it, but the trailers weirdly didn't massively do it for me. I am sure that will be settled when I actually see it. And like Nick, I would like them to just stop marketing it now so I don't know anything else about it. The opposite of what marketing companies now think audiences need, apparently.
