June 10Jun 10 CB Team Between the State of Play, the Xbox Showcase, and the Nintendo Direct, did anybody else find it all a bit boring? There were many impressive-looking games, but nothing new and not many surprises either. Everything is really starting to feel like it's blending together. More so than previous generations, the PS5/XSX/Switch 2 generation just feels like a continuation of the previous generation.
June 10Jun 10 CB Team I often feel like the big gaming showcases blend together. So many games have similar styles and chase similar trends that it can be hard to get excited for them. That said, there were a few games that piqued my interest at each, which I can't always say for things like State of Play and Xbox.
June 10Jun 10 CB Team I came away pretty hyped for several games, and even ones that I'm not going to play anytime soon (Gears, Zelda). Nothing is ever going to really replace E3, but as a whole still saw a lot of great things that I'll be playing throughout the year.

Thursday at 04:07 PM5 days CB Team Nintendo was particularly terrible. They had their biggest announcements leaked in advance, but that Direct was still a huge letdown. SGF was better than I expected. And I liked a lot of the reveals in the Xbox showcase as well. Still miss the actual E3 though and I wish it'd come back.
