June 19Jun 19 CB Team All right, it's here, and once again I think Pixar proved the doubters wrong. It's not the best of the franchise but Toy Story 5 confirms these movies are solid no matter what. What did everyone else think?
June 19Jun 19 CB Team I thought it was really good. Agree it's not the best, but definitely a story worth telling. The Jessie stuff was great.

June 20Jun 20 CB Team The only real issue I have with it is a lot of the supporting characters are just kinda there. As someone who grew up with the OG trilogy, I would have loved more Rex, Hamm, Potato Head, Slinky, etc. But I also get it. That group had its time and they're trying to highlight new toys (that Disney can sell as merch).

June 22Jun 22 CB Team Loved it. Hilarious and emotional - the Jessie/Emily stuff and then Bonnie/Blaze both wrecked me, just wonderful

I'm not sure it would've been necessary or worked with him, tbf, since for a big part of the audience it was about growing up with him and that (plus the story) meant it wasn't needed, but it fit perfectly here. Doing that + shifting focus to Jessie is what makes this great, and elevated it above Toy Story 4 for me (which I am also a big fan of).
