Not in a million years would I have thought of this, but in truth, I think it's a great idea. It's still too early to tell where this might go, if it goes anywhere at all, but what's everyone else thinking?

Sure, why the hell not, I think Zendaya is so good she can do just about anything and it'd be cool to see her in an action role, though I would've liked another Matt Damon Bourne movie

As much as I love Matt Damon, I think his time in the franchise has ended. Jason Bourne was kind of a dud, which was disappointing.

Zendaya's great, so I'm interested to see where this goes.

Zendaya doesn't concern me at all. She's proven she can handle pretty much any role. What I'm less sure about is the idea of a complete Bourne reboot.

Part of what made the franchise work was Matt Damon as Jason Bourne. If they're going to start over with a new lead and a new continuity, the movie is going to have to do more than just retell the same "amnesiac spy discovers the truth" story. Otherwise it risks feeling like a remake instead of a fresh chapter.

That's the big hang up for me too, i think audiences have proven that throwing out continuity (Without a REALLY good hook ala Halloween 2018) can be a recipe for disinterest

Has anyone read the Bourne novels? I almost picked up a few last time I was at the bookstore.

Having Zendaya as the lead is a great start. As long as they can create a compelling story, they'll be fine, and the fight sequences should be bonkers
