Monday at 03:50 PM5 days CB Team It gave me chill bumps to see the X-Men, especially Cyclops and Gambit! I think this will be amazing! It was also cool to see Steve Rogers come back.
Monday at 05:15 PM5 days CB Team It looks fun. Lacks the emotional punch of Infinity War and Endgame due to its coming out at a time when Marvel has been struggling, but I'm sure it'll be good.
Monday at 09:28 PM4 days CB Team Is it that I'm in the weeds with all the rumors and stuff? Is it that Endgame really did feel like the endpoint for the MCU? Have I simply gotten Too Old For This Shit?In any event, I'm underwhelmed by this.
Tuesday at 01:02 PM4 days CB Team I'm more curious to see how they land this plane than excited to watch the movie. The lack of a proper build up a la Thanos really hurts this.I'm definitely seeing Dune 3 first that weekend.
Wednesday at 08:08 AM3 days When Sanford Greene's Doom came out in 2024 I bought 8 copies from my lcs and sold everyone of them on eBay when they hit $40. I couldn't believe it when they reached almost $80. I went all in and started scooping up early Doom keys like avengers #25 and marvel superheroes presents #20, daredevil 37-38, and any FF silver age Doom cover I could afford with the idea in mind that a few months before Doomsday hits, everything would be through the roof and id make a killing but I'm at least 20k invested and I'm seriously having some serious doubts. The climate has really cooled off since RDJ made his announcement that he was playing Doom at the San Francisco comicon and I don't think that initial excitement is coming back anytime soon. Of course I have my fingers crossed that this will be the best movie since gone with the wind or Titanic but I think the storyline is too complicated for the general public that may like marvel movies but don't get into comics or know much about the different variations of Doom over the years. I think the silver age books will have a nice jump and then level off after the movie release dies down but as for everything else I don't see any significant investment value sticking and that sucks because Doom is great and marvel has always managed to ruin everything they've ever put him in and this might be the film that sinks doctor Doom forever but I guess we'll just have to see.
