August 2Aug 2 CB Team Spider-Man: Brand New Day just scored the second biggest box office opening ever. I don't think anyone's surprised that it's a hit. But I never thought this would legit put up Endgame numbers. $355 million in one weekend domestically is insane. This one didn't even have the nostalgic multiverse angle of seeing all the old actors back. So why was Brand New Day so huge? Was it just because it's been five years since the last Spidey and we all just missed him?
August 4Aug 4 CB Team I'm with you in that I thought it would be successful, but I didn't think THAT successful right off the bat. Positive word of mouth and great reviews helped, but still incredibly impressive.
August 4Aug 4 CB Team I'm pretty surprised but then again it's been 5 years since the last Spider-Man movie. I think people were just wanting to be excited about Marvel again and Spider-Man just scratches that itch that no others do
August 5Aug 5 CB Team Beating Endgame is genuinly shocking. That was seen as the result of a decade plus of storytelling, and Spider-Man just proved that you can outdo it with a fresh start in a franchise.
August 6Aug 6 I love her character and she is a fantastic actress. I love the "small potatoes" vs. "big potatoes" conversation - hilarious. Let's see more of her.
August 6Aug 6 This has to be the best Spiderman of the Tom Holland era. For me, my favorite Spiderman will always be Tobey McGuire and I loved him coming back in No Way Home. However, having said that, Tom Holland plays Peter Parker perfectly has the torn soul who has to live with a huge sacrifice and a huge secret. I am probably going to see it again this weekend. Cheers.
August 6Aug 6 I think the world was really ready for a great MCU film and who better to deliver that than Spiderman. Excellent from start to finish and even before seeing it, people were just ready.
