  1. Going to be hard to top the final scene in action and badass moments. But I’d love it if there were performances and character arcs that we’ll be talking about during awards consideration. Not because they’d win but it would mean Marvel was taking the actual story and character seriously again.
  2. I had never heard about Captain Canuck until I lived in Montreal. This is the most Canadian thing imaginable. Haha.
  3. Anthem did Iron Man suit mechanics better than The Avengers game!
  4. Yeah, we wrote an article about how it made the same mistakes as the MCU/DCEU in forcing some shared universe setup at the expense of the project at hand. Loved this season. Don’t love that finale.

  6. Lindbeck is great. She’d be an excellent choice for that Gwen.
  7. Sinners was great. Probably my pick. Such a unique experience. I had a ton of fun at Weapons. And was pleasantly surprised by how much I ended up liking Superman.
  8. Funny enough, I reviewed movies in High School - and I'd definitely put my time on the newspaper staff up there. I also wrote a Top 12 list each issue that was supposed to poke fun at things happening around the school but, reading them back, were mostly unfunny/kind of mean - and I'm shocked teachers actually let me publish them.
  9. Jurassic Park is still my all-time favorite - so hard to beat. But current favorite: I actually really like Superman (2025) more than I expected and have rewatched a few times already. Weapons might be the most fun I've had in a theater this year - so I'll say that's a current favorite.
  10. Great question: I'm assuming Sesame Street was the first I ever watched; though, I'd put Transformers/He-Man/Thundercats/GI Joe in for first shows I was hooked on/watched myself. Currently watching: Gen V, Shameless, and Love is Blind (with the wife). Also just finished The Bear.
  11. I’ve covered gaming for almost two decades now - and seen a ton of in-development projects get scrapped. There are a few I still think about and wish I could have played. Chief among them: I saw a closed-door developer demo at E3 for Star Wars 1313 - and it looked great. The LucasArts team showed some of that demo footage on SpikeTV. But Uncharted meets Boba Fett is still such a fun concept. What’s one you still think about and/or think was a mistake to have canned?
  12. This one seems to have been caught up in the fall of the CW and DCEU. I was definitely interested in the premise. Just seems like they gave up on it before it was even out.
  13. My parents let me watch a lot of wild things when I was basically age 5+: Alien, Gremlins, Friday the 13th, etc. But I have a VERY vivid memory of watching the Xtro birth scene at one point. If you have never seen it, I'd recommend NOT seeing it. Gremlin in the microwave in Gremlins is also up there.
  14. This is a good one for sure. Great movie but agreed that, in context, suspension of disbelief.
  15. Went to spam for some reason, I've approved.
  16. I know we're talking comics here but that N7 rifle is VERY cool.
  17. I went in with very low expectations - and it exceeded those low expectations. I had a fun time with it and some of the visuals and sound did look amazing in IMAX. If someone liked Legacy, I'd recommend it still but skeptical it'll really expand the franchise footprint.
  18. Felt exactly the same. I know Gunn loves this show and this cast but man that was a weird and very Smallville-like ending. Especially when you think back on season 1’s wildly entertaining finale. Seemed like it was building up to something big - but the climax is just: we started Checkmate, everyone is happy, and here’s a concert with Foxxy Shazam.
  19. The only console I kept was my N64 but I would kill to get back my old NES - and like 30 games.
  20. Oh man, that Sewer Lair playset was the shit. But you SHOWED THEM!
  21. Oh man. I would love this. Spider-Man ‘98 was great. I’d love an excuse for a rewatch.
  22. With the news that EA is removing online support for Need for Speed Rivals, we have to again ask the question: should video games that were sold to buyers with online features be allowed to stop supporting the online functionality? https://comicbook.com/gaming/news/ea-shutting-down-aaa-game-permanently-in-48-hours/ It’s understandable why a game publisher doesn’t want to support an online game forever - but the online features in games like Rivals was a big selling point and part of what buyers paid for in the first place. Even with a shrinking player base, it’s a bummer - and a practice that could, knowing game companies, become predatory - shorter support windows and microtransactions for access after X years, for example.
  23. That stinks. My dad sold back a bunch of ours. I wish I’d gone through them before he did - but we kept a few of the good/memorable ones. That’s a bummer your entire collection was lost. 😞
  24. What’s one movie plot hole on which you simply cannot suspend disbelief? Bonus points if you can name one in your favorite movie! I’ll go! In the original Jurassic Park, Grant and Ellie are holding the door to keep the velociraptor out of the control room while Lex tries to bring the phones back online. Timmy is just tapping on Lex’s chair. Grant asks Ellie to try to reach the shotgun on the floor. Ellie tries but can’t reach it without moving away from the door. Why didn’t Grant just ask Timmy to grab it for them?
  25. I was always selling my action figures at garage sales because I wanted new things. In hindsight, I should have kept a bunch of that stuff: Entire set of the original hard head TMNT figures. Thundercats team plus Mummra and Thunderclaw Loads of G1 Transformers (thankfully I kept my G1 Optimus and trailer - plus Grimlock) Might Morphin’ Megazord, Dragonzord, and Titanus Anything you wish you’d hung on to now that’s worth real money? Or you just wish you still had?
