Right? We spoke with them at Comic-Con about it and there were supposed to be more updates - then nothing again. https://comicbook.com/movies/news/todd-mcfarlane-offers-promising-spawn-update-confirms-when-director-will-be-announced/ I really hope he doesn't make it too niche/indie. He's discussed that in the past but part of what I love about Spawn (and the original movie) is how grandiose and bombastic it all can be.

My vote goes to: Agent Coulson.

Congrats! Whether or not you win, this is awesome.

I have my original Optimus Prime and Grimlock - but desperately regret not getting the OG Megatron at the time. It's such a weird piece now.

Yeah, time travel is tricky - especially in stories that already have pretty set endpoints that are "canon." Loved the book, and do like this storytelling universe, but definitely prefer a tighter thing ultimately.

The action looks fun - and it does feel on-brand for the franchise. But man, Guile's screen accurate hair alone makes it clear this is going to be VERY goofy.

The Dark Knight?

This show reeks of Sony Spider-Verse desperation. It's got all the hallmarks of why those movies (outside of Venom) failed. I don't honestly think you can expect to have cast Cage in this thing and expect that anyone can take it seriously. I still like him in a lot of roles but not as the lead of a superhero movie. He barely worked for Ghost Rider. A point that was made even clearer when Gabriel Luna knocked it out of the park as Robbie Reyes. I like Noir as a comic book character - and, as Logan is saying, as a counterpoint to other characters. I'd even like a Noir Spider-Man story - but Cage just sinks it.

If you had asked me a year ago before seeing Superman, I would have said that I'd love to see a continuation of the Snyder Cut story at least - so a couple more JL movies. Post-Superman, I'm happy enough with the direction we're going, so I'm okay leaving it in the past - but I don't know that we'll ever get a DC movie with that kind of scale again though.

Jurassic Park - but only if I could relive it the way I did as a kid. In awe of all the effects and everything. The Sixth Sense is up there too. But only if I could forget the twist.

This is wild behavior. lol. I always get buttered popcorn and a Coke. If someone in my group has candy, I’ll eat it. I will say: once in a while I don’t get anything but I always get something for big action movies. But the actual order doesn’t vary.

It's nice that people have more access to it - but I get that it feels less premium when it's all just sort of tossed out there like that. And yeah, I was done with Craig's Bond one or two movies before they actually ended. Ready to see what they do next and hope they find some way to differentiate them in a way that makes Bond special again. New game look like it has cool action but it's pretty wild watching 007 James BOND climbing a drain pipe and shuffling across a balcony in broad daylight.

I think the biggest thing I struggle with is just the sheer amount of multiversal and shared-universe non-sense for the sake of "Look at this!" EVERYTHING feels like the clif notes of a story in the MCU, especially post-Endgame, rather than focusing on a small group of well-developed characters. Look at Captain America: Brave New World. We get Leader, Red Hulk, Sidewinder, Ruth Bat-Seraph, etc - and none of them get meaningful development in the movie itself. I'm not sure Cap even really developed much in that movie. Don't even get me started on Multiverse of Madness.

Weekly > Batch > All At Once I love to theory craft and speculate and talk with friends about mystery box shows. Watching LOST week to week was so fun (while it lasted). I'd have loved to have that weekly water cooler convo about Stranger Things season 5. Batch is still better than all at once but... these holiday-adjacent releases are actually pretty annoying for this season. I'd love to see the finale in a theater but... pretty unrealistic that a lot of fans will be able to see it New Year's Eve.

I love this question. I might survive a traditional slasher movie - simply because if something weird or scary is happening, I'm going the other way. Child's Play does seem up there as the most survivable. I also think I'd be able to survive in a slow-walker zombie apocalypse (Dawn of the Dead 1978 not 2004) but not the fast-moving ones with a ton of evil human factions to fight. I also think I would have survived The Mist (which is still one of my personal faves).

I think the problem with the MCU as of late has been all the forced cameos and multiversal jumps - which, unfortunately, is a massive part of the movie's plot. So, while I think it'll make a lot of money and get people back in theaters, I'm really skeptical it solves the fundamental issue with the franchise right now (it might actually be making it worse).
