My first thought here is Skyrim, but I can't decide if that's a best or worst opening to be honest. It's iconic, but also sooooo long to sit through when you want to start a new playthrough. Kingdom Hearts has to be up there for me, with that cinematic music video style opening. Classic.

Marvel Snap is on my long list of games I want to spend more time with. But I find that I can only really juggle so many mobile games at a time because most of them demand regular attention lol.

It's straight to Netflix rather than a theatrical release, but I am ready to be disappointed by the movie adaptation of People We Meet on Vacation. It's one of my favorite books in recent years, so I'm cautiously optimistic, though putting it out in early January is a baffling choice for such a summer-coded movie.

As we're rounding out the year, I'm realizing 2025 really upped my number of mobile games. I used to really only play Pokemon Go, but as I'm sitting on the couch with family during the holidays I realize I've got quite a rotation to choose from during my idle time. So I'm curious... what do everyone else's mobile gaming habits look like right now? Are there any you play regularly? New ones from the year that you like, or ones you dropped? As for me, my mobile gaming right now looks like: Pokemon Sleep every morning Pokemon TCG Pocket about once a day to open packs Umamusume: Pretty Derby (let's not talk about the amount of time) Pokemon Go, usually casual check-ins a few times a day unless I'm out for a walk or there's a big event I also have a few gamefied self-care apps like Finch, but I'm not sure that really counts as mobile gaming.

I second this. Those cast announcements had me personally most excited for Doomsday, so teaser trailers for them would be nice.

Yesssss Final Fantasy X is my favorite. That could be amazing on screen.

I'd definitely love to see an Elder Scrolls series! Given the success of the Fallout one, I'm sure Bethesda has got to be at least considering it.

I played the first of the new trilogy, Tomb Raider Definitive Edition. It was so good!

I like seeing them in theaters, but as someone who doesn't go see movies in person all that often, I'm much more likely to watch them online. I think releasing in theaters only for a week or two, then being available online, is the best of both worlds here.

I just played my first Tomb Raider game this year, so you're in good company. I really ended up liking it, so I'm excited to play more of them.

Always exciting AND overwhelming when we go into the new year with a wishlist like that! I'm definitely curious about Wolverine and Tomb Raider, as well.

If I'd had my way about it, my room would've been full of plush from every anime and cartoon I liked as a kid. As an adult, I've started making up for it, if the life-size Eevee that guards my bookshelf is any indication lol.

I really enjoyed Titan of the Tide! It does a nice job of mixing things up just when you're getting used to the platforming to keep things interesting.

With The Game Awards out of the way, we've got some ideas about the big new games headed our way in 2026. So... what are you looking forward to the most as of now? For me, it's got to be Witchbrook, Pokemon Pokopia, and the new Fable game (provided it actually ends up coming out in 2026).

I still need to read this series! I just looked into it, and it seems like there was an adaptation in the works at one point, but it unfortunately fell through and still hasn't been released. With how popular Sanderson is, though, there's always hope it will happen eventually.

Oh yeah, love a game with character customization I can get lost in for sure!

I love the Bloons Tower Defense games! They are so addictive and kind of soothing even though they can be tricky.

I am very bad at actually admitting defeat, but I think I'm probably never going to finish Dragon Age: The Veilguard at this point. I didn't hate it, but I didn't get time to finish it and 2026 is already looking way too stacked for me to make time for it. I'm also not sure I'll ever get through Act 3 in Baldur's Gate 3 either. I find the city overwhelming after all the roaming in the first 2 acts and keep starting new games, instead.

I can definitely see that! I used to play the OG games and they were very easy to sink into for hours.

I still need to try Balatro! I've heard so many good things about that one.

We got about 8 inches of snow where I live over the weekend, and it's putting me in winter hibernation mode. So naturally, I'm thinking about chill, relaxing games to play while curled up under the blankets. What games do you reach for when you just want to relax? I lean towards cooking sims and management sims, so I'm thinking I'll dive back into Two Point Museum or Kokoro Kitchen this winter. Or perhaps Cinnabunny? So hard to choose!

I've really enjoyed The Apothecary Diaries and Frieren this year.

Now that I got some sleep after covering last night, my thoughts! I was hyped to see Umamusume take the mobile game win, and happy that Hades 2 snagged best action game. In terms of reveals, very here for the crow foot witch game and the new D&D Warlock. Also excited for Larian's Divinity, of course!

Like many gaming fans, I'm settling in for The Game Awards. We'll be covering live here at ComicBook, and I thought I'd start a thread for anyone who's watching to chime in as new announcements and reveals go live. Here's hoping for some exciting news!

So many for me. I'm not a big TV person in general, so I only go for things I'm pretty confident I'll enjoy. I skipped out on Lost and am currently refusing to care about Stranger Things. It never caught my interest and now I'm just tired of hearing about it lol. Also couldn't get into Loki and dipped out after a few episodes.
