...This was one DARK movie! https://comicbook.com/movies/news/this-underrated-90s-horror-film-is-finally-getting-its-due-on-netflix-and-just-begging-for-a-sequel/ Loved Denzel Washington doing horror (wish he would do more), and the cast was stacked. It makes you scared of serial killers, demons, and the idea that serial killers are demons. It easily could have gotten a sequel... and still could.

...What's it going to really take to get this franchise back to being a major box office draw? Mandalorian & Grogu didn't even break $300 million, after opening on a holiday weekend. Does there need to be something either so new and exciting, or such a big "event" that people get renewed enthusiasm for the franchise?

June 30th, 1999, is one I always remember - South Park: Bigger Longer and Uncut & Wild Wild West were released on the same day, while Adam Sandler's Big Daddy had only been in theaters 5 days at that point.

Did you see it? Did you get your laughs' worth? I thought it was A) Much better than 3,4, and 5 B) A great reminder of why the Wayans are a comedic dynasty C) A tease of the alt-universe where we got Anna Faris and Regina Hall as a comedic duo for many films, instead of all these Chris Pratt movies D) Another good reminder that comedy - and def raunch comedy - needs to always be part of the theatrical slate.

How are we liking the new season?

Which Classic animated series do you think would still hit with kids today? (Asking for a dad friend 😒)

OH! I JUST watched Dark a few months ago! The Mikkeel reveal was NUTS!

Sets up a universe with certain aesthetics and rules sticks to those like glue and In doing so has kind of rekindled interest in a classic noir. As we’ve seen in both Marvel and DC comics, alt universe flips on familiar characters are doing well right now and this is exactly that as a TV show. There are two very important lessons, here: first, a Spider-Man TV universe is very possible if you pick the right characters and concepts. Two: we should absolutely be getting an absolute Batman TV series or anime.

Most recent: the end reveal of Hulu's Paradise pilot. That was killer. BIGGEST? The LOST reveal of the flash-forwards, and Jack's "We have to go back!" speech to Kate. "Not Penny's Boat" was pretty wild too. Take your pick of moments from 24 (I'll go with the reveal of Nina as a double-agent and the dark Season 1 finale) Rita's Death in Dexter. Battlestar Galactica's final Cylon reveals made my jaw drop, and Dee's death will forever haunt me. Ralphie and Christopher getting clipped on The Sopranos. Both come out of nowhere. Wallace, Stringer Bell, and Omar all getting clipped on The Wire.

Obsession & Backrooms just took down a STar Wars family film. We're in a new era. What does all this mean?! Let's discuss.

...That Would Be HITS Today. Just wrote an article on this: Now I'm wondering what other TV shows were canceled just before the industry tastes changed in a way that would've made them major hits.

...Which ones are you highly anticipating or are just intrigued by? Avengers: Doomsday, obviously, but let's go deeper!

I mean, it definitely was for kids.

As someone who watched every one of those animated Justice League/Justice League Unlimited episodes as they premiered, I was definitely tearing up at that final sequence after that epic story arc.

Okay, so by now it's pretty clear Sebastian Stan will be doing a Two-Face arc along with his Harvey Dent arc. The question is: how do you get this Two-Face storyline right? Every live-action Batman film director has swung and missed to a certain extent (Burton, Schumacher, Nolan); what can Reeves do differently?

The Hutts are wealthy and sophisticated enough to know the "Common" language. I just always figured Jabba spoke in Huttese just to mess with people / gain an advantage in negotiations.

This is happening: https://comicbook.com/movies/news/disney-just-confirmed-its-next-big-movie-franchise-and-it-could-genuinely-run-for-decades/ But how do you pull this off? Interactive movie-making came and went like a summer storm in the late 2010s. It's been deader than disco ever since. I know everyone has their fav CYOA book you used to stalk every day in elementary school class 'til it was your turn to get it and read it. Mine was Vampire Express - how about you?

How are we feeling about this new series? Is it a suitable Stranger Things replacement?

I was really hoping that there would be a bigger spectacle and scope to the finale, given how much smaller and more contained the final season felt. It felt really small and simplistic, and the action scenes weren't the best. All in all, I think the show peaked with Season 3.

Should Paramount Keep Going with another spinoff series after Strange New Worlds? A lot of fans want to see the SNW versions of Kirk (Paul Wesley), Spock (Ethan Peck), and other TOS characters finish the last two years of the Enterprise's 5-year mission, since the Original Series only covered three years of the voyage. Other fans have wanted to see Kirk and crew's time together before the 5-year voyage focused on in a limited series. What say you?

Scrubs made a successful comeback - but it wasn't perfect. How can Season 2 improve the sauce? We saw how drastically the second season can improve things (Daredevil: Born Again), so what changes does the Scrubs revival need to make?

The Long Halloween made Gilda famous for a very specific reason. Will The Batman: Part II do something similar, even though Penguin made a direct adaptation impossible?

I hope the Series Finale leaks are true and it's as epic as I've read. Otherwise, this season crashed into the runway harder than one of those planes in Die Hard 2. SHEEEESSSHHH

Doctor Manhattan. TV VERSION. Don't trust that movie version at all.

Personally, I recognize The Odyssey as Greek Mythology, open to interpretation. Others feel... differently. Where do you stand? Are you locked into this vision? Or do you have issues with it?
