  1. It’s New Comic Book Day again. What’s on your pull list this week? Did you grab any new releases or find something interesting in the back issue bins? My local comic shop had a 5-year anniversary sale and had wall-to-wall comics half price or better.
  2. Have you read Absolute Superman? I've heard it's really good.
  3. Some characters have designs that are instantly recognizable and haven’t changed much over time, while others have gone through a lot of different looks. Curious which character you think has the best overall costume design.
  4. I'm wondering if they will push it out this year or wait. I think people are more than ready to support it.
  5. That's a tough one! I've bought tons and tons of comics and graphic novels this month. I can't think of a single one that stands out above the others, however, I did get a new comic book box that's pretty cool!
  6. As long as they don't go with the "long-lost twin" angle lol
  7. I think him either posing as a Tony Stark variant or actually being a Tony Stark variant is about the only way they can play it off. I'm assuming they will likely recast Doctor Doom after this "jumpstart."
  8. I agree with TWD even though I watched it all the way through finally. It had its moments and I think most of us just didn't want to let go.
  9. Z Nation is another one that probably went on way too long. I enjoyed the early seasons and how different it felt from other zombie shows, but it started to get really weird towards the end. It still had fun moments, though. I honestly can't even remember if I ever finished it.
  10. Oh yes! I thought the same thing! I don't like to stop series before they're done, but this one just went on and on. The main character in a series can be given a break occasionally for making bad decisions, but this was just bad decision after bad decision.
  11. I actually enjoyed The Walking Dead, but I can see how some people felt it went on longer than expected. I eventually watched all of it, but it definitely had some filler seasons. Another series could be The Office. The dynamic really changed after Michael Scott left, and while there were still some good moments, it didn’t feel the same as the earlier seasons. However, I've watched each of these a lot and enjoyed them.
  12. President Whitmore from Independence Day is hard to beat. His speech before the final battle is still one of the most memorable leadership moments in any movie.
  13. Agreed! I think that's the best way to watch something like this. I'm sure I'll check it out in color as well, but definitely starting with black and white.
  14. I'm surprised they haven't added him already! He's getting more popular again, so I'm sure he will be there soon.
  15. Welcome to the forum! I love TMNT as well! Are you reading the current comic series?
  16. I haven't heard anything. Are they planning on doing it soon?
  17. I haven’t played Marvel Rivals yet, but Nightcrawler would be an amazing addition. His teleportation could make for some really creative gameplay. Doctor Doom would be another great pick just because of how iconic he is and he's my favorite villain.
  18. For me, Gambit and Rogue have always stood out. Their dynamic and history make their relationship feel earned, and it’s been interesting to see how it’s evolved over time. Reed Richards and Sue Storm are another favorite. They’ve been through so much together, and their relationship has always felt like a core part of the Fantastic Four.
  19. I'll go read this tonight.
  20. This reminds me that I need to read this one! I have it, but I'm 2 or 3 issues behind. I'll read it and come back to this thread.
  21. Spider-Man is probably the biggest example for me. Peter and Mary Jane were married for years, and it added a lot of emotional weight to his life without taking away what made him relatable. Ever since that was undone, it’s felt like his character has been kept in the same place instead of being allowed to grow. I think letting him be married again would open the door to some really strong storytelling.
  22. Since Valentine’s Day just passed, it got me thinking about some of the great relationships in comics. Who is your favorite couple from DC or Marvel?
  23. I'm not entirely sure about RDJ being cast as Doom either. I wonder what the backstory will be. Is he a Tony Stark variant? Will he just be RDJ in this film? I feel like he won't be the true MCU Doctor Doom and they will eventually have to recast him to find someone who will play the role for years. However, I think his performance will be great because he's a great actor, I just don't feel that it was the best choice long-term. It's almost like they wanted to cash in on RDJ one more time before passing the torch to another actor and I just hope it doesn't backfire because Doctor Doom is a major player in so many of these stories.
  24. Let me know how it goes! I'm going to flip through Dragon Delves today since I have some time finally.
