FantasticJerome

I'll check this out!

I subscribe to Rook Exodus and Alien vs. Captain America and can't wait to pick them up. I'm really curious to see Cap handle Xenomorphs! I've been collecting graphic novels and trade paperbacks lately, but still grab a few comics every week.

Awesome! This is a really fun forum, especially if you like comics!

Let's have a Batman watch party! I haven't seen either one in years.

We’ve seen characters like Loki and Deadpool get the spotlight and win fans over, but who else deserves a redemption arc: someone who was misused, forgotten, or just got a bad adaptation? Would you fix it with a new actor, a darker tone, or a fresh storyline? Curious to hear everyone’s picks.

Just sent in my nomination for Stronghold Collectibles in Lafayette, Louisiana. They’ve built one of the best comic communities I’ve ever seen. The staff and owners go out of their way to help people, and they even organized a drive to help rebuild my collection after my family lost our home in a fire right before Christmas last year. When I showed up at the shop, they loaded my vehicle with boxes of comics and graphic novels. They host live shows on Discord multiple times a week and make everyone feel like part of the family. Easily one of the best and most inviting shops out there.

I was going to say the same thing lol

I love Juggernaut! He was always one of my favorites because he couldn't be stopped once he started moving. I want to get his first appearance comic one day even if it's in rough shape so I can display it in my home office.

Oooh I didn't even think about Odin and Hela! That would be a great trilogy.

I’d love to see a Doctor Doom movie, obviously. He’s one of the few villains who could anchor an entire story without needing a hero to balance him. I also think Juggernaut could work if they leaned into the mythology behind Cytorrak. There’s enough lore there to build a dark, supernatural storyline that goes way beyond just brute strength that most people link to Juggernaut.

We’ve seen a few villains get their own stories, but it doesn’t happen often. Which villain do you think could carry their own movie and keep audiences interested? Could it be someone like Doctor Doom, Carnage, Magneto, or an underrated villain who deserves more attention? Who’s your pick, and how would you make it work on screen? I'll post my picks in the comments.

Nice work!

I agree with Nightcrawler, I think he could easily carry a solo movie.

I think Gambit and Rogue would be cool!

Hard to say, but I'll definitely get the Goonies when it comes out.

Here’s my full Preacher set. These covers look nice! I can't wait to add them to the library. I'm still reading the first book, but these were too good to pass up. I almost always buy used and these look like they haven't been read a single time.

Let’s see what everyone picked up this week. New issues, back issues, omnibuses, trades, anything goes. Here’s mine from this week: I used some recommendations from everyone in this forum to build up my library and finally grabbed Watchmen, Locke & Key, and the rest of the Preacher series. I’m still collecting recommendations and picking up more books as I go.

I liked it a lot! I would read a graphic novel of this. Maybe they could cover what happens before the movie.

I picked up Watchmen today. I'll check out the other two as well.

I picked these up today! Can't wait to read them. I only got the first Locke and Key to see if I like it, but I'm sure I'll get the other books in the series as well.

I'll get DCeased next.

I picked up the Marvel Zombies trade paperback and can't wait to start it! I know a little about it, but never read it straight through. I'll pick up the DC one next.

Cool! I'll check that one out too.

Congrats Nate!

Let’s play a quick game. Pick two similar comics or storylines, then the next person decides which one stays and which one goes. Example: Watchmen vs. V for Vendetta Once you pick the winner, drop your own matchup for the next person to answer. I’ll start it off: Batman: The Long Halloween vs. Batman: Year One
