Who Are The Superheroes That First Got You Into Comics?

While I might have read a comic before these, it was the '90s runs of Amazing Spider-Man and Superman that truly got me hooked on the world of comics, and as a result, that formed a loyalty and love of certain characters and concepts from that era that last until this day.

What superheroes first got you into comics? Let me know and share an image of a cover or two from that era!

When I was little, I probably watched Superman first, but it’s all a blur now. Batman was the first one that really left an impression on me later!

Was on a similar trajectory: Superman - then Batman - then Spider-Man - the Spawn.

My first comic books were from Spider-Man and Spawn (my aunt would later regret buying me something with demons and gore, but she didn't know any better, thankfully). Spider-Man led me to the Marvel rabbit hole, while Spawn reinforced my love for all things horror.

Originally for me, it was Batman, SuperBoy, and some others from DC but then I switched to Marvel and that’s what most of my collection is.

I think my first two comics were Captain America and Iron Man and I loved them! I read them over and over and then started getting heavily into X-Men and Spiderman. My grandpa and uncle owned a comic book shop when I was growing up and I was able to bring home a few different books every few weeks. He always told me to try different series because you never know what you may like. Now I wonder if I still have those 2 comics somewhere. Those issues aren't worth anything, but it would be cool to display them.
