January 8Jan 8 CB Team I just wrote about One Battle After Another breaking a nominations record at the Actors Awards. I love seeing films like One Battle After Another, Sinners, and Marty Supreme stack up these nominations, but awards season also has me thinking about the overlooked movies that could have been deserving.I wish Roofman had gotten more recognition. I was surprised by how much I enjoyed that one. Thought Tatum was great and it was just really well done. I guess Paramount didn't put much of a campaign together after it flamed out at the box office, but people should watch it on streaming. Reminded me of an old school star vehicle that would have been massive in the '90s.
January 8Jan 8 CB Team It seems like Bugonia is getting left out of the conversation almost entirely this season, which is wild because it's a great movie with performers that are usually always in these conversations.

January 9Jan 9 Sinners (which I think was just a bit more entertaining than One Battle After Another) - for sure, but also for pure visual ambrosia "Ne Zha II" and for pure thematic tension "AHouse of Dynamite."
January 11Jan 11 CB Team I'm also on the Sinners train. I think it's going to get a ton of recognition until it gets to the big show and gets ignored.
January 12Jan 12 CB Team Also adding my vote to Sinners. It was an all around great movie and definitely deserves a lot more awards love.
