January 20Jan 20 CB Team Yeah we've got some stinkers coming with Mercy later in the month, but with Primate and Bone Temple it's hard to believe that it's January. Is its status of a dump month changing for the future?
January 20Jan 20 CB Team Primate looks interesting! I saw the previews while watching Five Nights at Freddy's and it seems like it has potential.
January 20Jan 20 CB Team I think an argument could definitely be made that January is shifting away from its "dump month" status, though I'm not sure if it will ever be able to fully drop that. It will be interesting to see if other successful releases arrive in January in the coming years.
January 20Jan 20 CB Team Honestly, I think September is the new dump month. January still is to an extent, but studios have found that a good movie can still perform without having to trick audiences into going.

Definitely better than Wolf Man or Night Swim the previous few years. Ben the chimp is a vibe.

January 21Jan 21 CB Team I think it's still somewhat a dump month because they are pushing risky movies, even if they are not bad. Honestly, people were betting Primate to be bad, and The Bone Temple is definitely weird (although I loved it!)
