The Mandalorian and Grogu trailer was weird, right?

The Super Bowl trailer for The Mandalorian and Grogu felt so odd, like a Star Wars version of the Coke Christmas commercial but not good. Felt like such a weird marketing move. And we still know nothing about the plot lol

Just saw the trailer and I'm not excited for the movie... I wasn't excited already, since Season 3 was a bad season imo, but I hoped the trailer would get me in the mood. Nope. It just makes me think plot is secondary and they are just making the movie to insert 500 cameos and repeat the same Baby Yoda jokes that were cute in Season 1, but by now are exhausting.

Yeahhh the idea that they have no real story to sell and that's why they're going with this approach seems even more likely now. Bizarre choice, obviously just banking on kids wanting to see Baby Yoda at this point but I don't get it

That was genuinely one of the worst movie-related Super Bowl commercials I've ever seen. I can't believe Disney spent millions of dollars for ... that. There wasn't even a "watch the full trailer now!" title card at the end. What the hell is this marketing campaign.

The movie comes out in 3 months. They just blew a golden opportunity to get people excited.
