An oxymoron, but I was thinking about that arc from Morrison's X-Men with the kids who are technically mutants but whose powers are...bad.

What would be a superpower that is totally useless for a superhero team, but would actually be useful in every day life? I'm thinking like, you can teleport but only three feet at a time, or, you can fly but it's the same exertion as running.

Probably something like, I don’t know, super strength but only for specific types of items. Like you could pull a car, but not turbo punch a villain.

I think the power to not be inconvenienced by small things like tying shoe laces, bumping into corners, having dirty glasses (etc) would be crazy helpful in day to day life.

A power that allows me to teleport my phone from the kitchen counter after I've already sat down on the couch with my dogs : )

As a glasses wearer who is extremely clumsy, this superpower is my dream.

In My Hero Academia, there's a superpower (called self-demolition) that allowed its users -The Bombers - to blow themselves up but, detonation was not voluntary. Rather, it was the result of a command by a third party.

Constantly dirty glasses is my villain origin story.

Oh man, this is the perfect power.

I remember an issue of Legionnaires where they did tryouts, and got some applicants with useless powers. My favorite was one who had the power to self-detonate... and when asked for a demonstration, replied that he could only do it once.
