Which comic characters should have remained dead? I'll start with Elektra.

Featured Replies

Constantly bringing characters back to life hurts "Death Of" storylines for me. They bring back too many characters. As much as I love the character Elektra, I think she should have remained dead. Her killing helped elevate Bullseye to a new level as Daredevil's enemy. Bringing her back taints past stories for me.

funny enough, Elektra as Daredevil and Ghost spider are 2 of my favorite marvel characters atm. i'm glad they brought them back to life!

Same here hahahah. Magik is another who's surprised me; her original death in #303 was so emotional (actually happened just when, as a kid, I'd experienced death in my own family for the first time, so the story landed with SUCH a punch). And yet, I love what Magik has become.

I don't mind Marvel bringing Elektra back, but I think they should have kept DD's love interest as BW in the aftermath and not taint any of his potential romances with just always falling back on Elektra.

Think the one I agree with the most is Gwen Stacy. But yeah death in comics has no meaning. I have to admit I was mad at first about Bucky but the winter solider storyline was so well done I came around on it. That said after Brubaker left think they have done nothing good with the character, at least in the comics.

If they did this now people would riot, but you're right, they pulled it off perfectly
