Should DC Do Another Superman Movie Next, or Spotlight Someone New?

With the new DC Universe underway, I'm curious where everyone thinks DC should go next.

Should they follow up with another Superman movie to keep building momentum, or is this the right time to give another DC character the spotlight?

If you're choosing someone new, who would you want to see lead the next film?

If Man of Tomorrow is a success, I think it'd be smart to keep the momentum going with another Superman movie.

If they were gonna go with someone new, my vote would be Wonder Woman. Batman's in a weird spot with the Reeves franchise still going, and I have no idea how general moviegoers would respond to two Batmen at once (I know Gunn thinks it can work, but a lot of people would probably be confused). Wonder Woman is a big enough character that it'd make sense to bring her into the spotlight. After Supergirl, they probably need to re-calibrate a bit and prioritize the big heroes.

I will always believe that, if someone has a good idea for a movie, that movie should be made. If the idea doesn't exist, don't make the movie. Gunn has 4 Superman movies planned. Great, let him do it! Someone cracked Wonder Woman? Let's do that too, at the same time! Now, "we need to make Batman tomorrow" is the wrong approach for storytelling and has little chance of working.

The "we need to make Batman tomorrow" problem is exactly what derailed the DCEU!

Seeing as Superman 2025 was the first proper Superman movie since Man of Steel, I'm willing to see as many as they want to make. It's a shame that Superman had to also include every other DC character so it didn't feel like just a Superman movie, but curious to see what a proper superman trilogy could look like in the modern day

I actually think this time around it would be good to hold off on Batman. They should establish more characters first. Batman is a huge draw, but it has to be the right time and I don't think we're there yet. I would like to see other characters get the spotlight for a while.

Regardless of how Man of Tomorrow does (and I do think it will do quite well), the next character up to bat of the big three should be Wonder Woman. I'm fine with them waiting on Batman a little longer, simply because there's another Batman movie coming soon to help fill the Dark Knight gap.

I agree with Wonder Woman. That could be awesome!
