Spiderman Brand New Day Makes more than Doomsday

Not the craziest take. I could see it happening. Black Panther made more than Infinity War domestically, so this has been done before. Doomsday is going to make more than Dune, but Dune is going to eat into the business a bit because of the IMAX thing. Spider-Man gets a two-week buffer to let The Odyssey do its thing and then it can dominate August.

I could definitely see that happening. I think the big, full cast Marvel movies have lost some of their charm because of all the required homework. Whereas our friendly neighborhood Spider-man has always been a fan favorite. I'm excited for both, but I am also worried that some of Doomsday is going to fly right over my head.

I feel like the only way that Doomsday could gross more is if the goodwill of Spider-Man (assuming it's well received) propels it higher, that's always the case with these huge franchises

I think Doomsday will eventually make money once it can start showing trailers with all of the secret cameos on full display, but yeah fully agree that spider-man's going to blow it out of the water. People love Spider-Man
