I take it the MCU X-Men will be very different than before with character story & lore wise

Because no version of Cyclops & Wolverine would fight over Sadie Sinks Jean Grey as one example

Would they ugly up Samara Weaving ? Especially so that she does not out shine Sadie Sink ? I would not put that past them

& then all of the characters that has been around since WW2 or earlier
