Barbarian and Weapons are way up there.

NOPE was solid as well - although leans more into sci-fi

Oh man. Horror has been so good the last several years.

I might go:

• The Invisible Man

• Weapons (might have recency bias but still going to be hard to top)

• Malignant

It's CRAZY that I didn't put SINNERS in my list! Sorry Prey, you got dethroned!

1. Longlegs is my my favorite horror picture of the decade so far
   2. Barbarian I still like it slighty more than Weapons buts still good.
   3. Sinners for an easy lock and is the best made one of the bunch.
   
   Also I need to say this but when I saw Longlegs in theaters, I was with a few friends and for whatever reason the framed picture of Bill Clinton was so funny to me I couldn't stop laughing whenever it showed up to the point that everyone near my seats knew what was happening. Funniest bit I've seen in a film that wasn't made as a joke

If it makes you feel any better, my brain refuses to consider Sinners horror for some reason. It's just an incredible movie.

I still need to see Weapons. I also loved Bodies Bodies Bodies and The Menu. Evil Dead Rise was great too, but I have a bias for that franchise (I named my son Ashley. When people ask who he is named after, he proudly says Evil Dead)

Oh man. How did I forget about Nosferatu? That movie was my whole personality over the holidays.

I'm picking Talk to Me, The Night House, and Nosferatu... But there are so many great horror movies out there. I guess the lower budgets really allow people to be more creative and take bigger risks, so when horror gets things right, it's amazing.

I can now add that The Conjuring: Last Rites will NOT be on this list.

I love that series and was really hoping this one would be good, but it doesn't sound like it compares to the previous installments.

I love Talk to Me! I've seen it a few times. Nosferatu was also really good. I probably won't rewatch it, but it was a great movie.

That scene from Longlegs where he's driving and starts singing about his parents always gets me haha that's a wild movie. Sinners is really good too!

We watch horrror movies all the time and so far I really like these:

I liked Weapons. Plus it has 3 MCU actors in it : )
