  1. With so much stuff coming out all the time, I’ve been thinking about how people decide whether to stick with a series or move on. Do you usually give something a few issues or episodes to find its footing, or do you go with your gut and drop it once it stops clicking? Curious how everyone else handles it.

  2. It’s Friday night, and after a long week it can be surprisingly hard to actually shut your brain off. What’s your go-to comfort watch when you just want something familiar on in the background? Could be a show, a movie, or even a specific episode you always end up throwing on.

  4. I just wrote about One Battle After Another breaking a nominations record at the Actors Awards. I love seeing films like One Battle After Another, Sinners, and Marty Supreme stack up these nominations, but awards season also has me thinking about the overlooked movies that could have been deserving. I wish Roofman had gotten more recognition. I was surprised by how much I enjoyed that one. Thought Tatum was great and it was just really well done. I guess Paramount didn't put much of a campaign together after it flamed out at the box office, but people should watch it on streaming. Reminded me of an old school star vehicle that would have been massive in the '90s.

  5. It feels like RTD is heading out after the next Christmas special. So who do you think should take over?

  6. The fact that Jean Grey is missing from the cast could perhaps be telling us something terrible. Also, this feels like a dying universe, and Cyclops taking one last enraged final stand fits what we know of the character. Also, what did you think of the teaser? Definitely the best so far, for me.

  7. With Robert Downey Jr. having been so closely tied to Iron Man, I’m really curious how Marvel plans to explain him now playing Doctor Doom. Do you think they’ll lean into a multiverse explanation, some kind of Stark-adjacent variant, or just trust the audience to separate the two roles without a big in-universe explanation? What theory do you think Marvel is most likely to use here?

  8. Sam Rockwell and the wacky premise had already piqued my interest, but the trailer really sold the movie to me. How do you feel about this one?

  9. Who will win in the box office and why?

  10. For me, while I know Michael B. Jordan was everyone's favorite, I was positively surprised to see Wagner Moura win as best actor. First Brazilian award!

  11. TV · Started by saperry,

I just realized that Marvel is dropping all eight episodes of this at once at the end of the month. I don't think any of us expected this one to have any relevance to Doomsday or Secret Wars, but it stinks that this one will almost certainly come and go with no impact. Anyone else hate to see this happen in the MCU?

  12. New releases for the first month of the year are always a bit slow. So I'm curious how people are starting their year in gaming. Are you diving into any new (or new to you) games this month? Personally, I'm mostly digging back into Animal Crossing to get ready for the 3.0 update, but I have tried a few new games, too.
