I'm not gonna lie the HBO Lanterns series has me more excited than I've been for a show in a long time. I can't wait to finally see a good portrayal of green lantern in live action and the idea of John and Hal in a True Detective style story sounds awesome. My question is, given where we are and what we've seen of the DCU so far, what are some things you think we can expect to see happening in the series and how do you guys think it will tie into the larger DCU.

What's up wrestling fans! Tonight's new episode of WWE SmackDown doesn't have much previewed for it ahead of time, but the one thing we do know is that it will be the final appearance of John Cena on the blue brand before his retirement tour comes to a close. With only a few more dates left, it's going to be interesting to see what matches Cena and WWE find a way to fit in before the farewell tour ends, and with Sami Zayn showing up tonight with his new Title, that's likely going to mean some sort of match between them. Plus, there's the whole Brock Lesnar of it all, and he very well might show up tonight too. Throw in (hopefully) another AJ Lee teaser and it should be qu…

Fede Álvarez is officially out as director! (Writing and producing) Who do you want to take over at the helm for Romulus 2? I got (In this order): Zach Cregger (Weapons) Oz Perkins (Longlegs) Ryan Coogler (Sinners) Cregger would make an awesome multi-storyline cause-and-effect film about what causes a xenomorph outbreak Perkins would nail an atmospheric throwback to the style of the original Alien Coogler would probably turn all the socio-political subtext about corporations and indentured servitude, and capitalism leading to disaster, into a well-layered genre movie. And the visuals would be crazy. MORE INFO: https://comicbook.com/movies/news/alien-romulus-2-sequel-…

Was very skeptical of Dexter returning (again) but really enjoyed this season. NYC is a great change of pace for location and an all-star cast of baddies made for some especially memorable hunts. Hopefully when they decide to cancel the series for the third time, they finally land on an ending that works. I wish the my would have kept Original Sin going too Agree or disagree with it being the best season since Trinity?

I don't understand the desire some fans have for Robert Pattinson to join the DCU. The Elseworlds label is one of the few things the DCU has that distinguishes it from Marvel, and I think it should remain separate. DC's animated movies have — off the top of my head — three or four separate continuities with several different versions of each character, and audiences accept it just fine. One of Marvel's biggest problems is that the MCU is so interconnected, telling self-contained stories has fallen by the wayside. James Gunn can keep that from happening at DC by allowing some things to just be their own thing. Just my opinion, obviously.

With the new Superman movie being announced - and with Man of Tomorrow being the teased angle - will we see Lex and Clark team up to take on a bigger foe or not? The comic storyline that's being referenced features a frienemy relationship between the two but, with only one Lex Luthor story under the DCU's belt, it's a little intimidating to think that Gunn might (like Snyder) be overcomplicating his Superman sequel story. Seeing the thread about whether George R.R. Martin would ever finish the Song of Fire and Ice books got me thinking about which game I've been waiting on the longest. And as someone who is forever thinking about starting a new Skyrim playthrough, that's got to the The Elder Scrolls 6. We've been waiting on that one for AGES and still know next to nothing about it. It has me worried that Bethesda might be a bit overwhelmed by trying to follow up on the success of Elder Scrolls 5 and may struggle to ever finish the project. Please tell me I'm wrong!

Hey everyone! This is the first of (hopefully) many rundowns, results, and polls for WWE SmackDown moving forward. If you want to sound off on your favorite moment of the night, the worst moment of the night, or anything in between, this is the place to do so! If you need to catch up on what happened, you can also check out my full Hits & Misses rundown right here. I'll start things off. My fave moment of the night was the Cena apology, just because it's so intrinsic to who Cena is. This was pure babyface Cena at his finest, and he made a truly unreal moment for one of his biggest fans in the process. Plus, it actually makes sense in storyline, so you really can't bea…

Really loved the first few issues of Hickman's run on Ultimate Spider-Man, but I've started to turn on it the longer it goes. The storytelling feels like it's not building to anything proper, with each arc just ending with a major surprise for the sake of it. Don't get me wrong, some of the twists have been cool (I liked the Mysterios reveal), but otherwise, each issue seems like it's trying to throw a wrench in the established Spider-Man mythos just to play with reader expectations and not much else. Compelling characterization is falling by the wayside, especially when it comes to Peter. Am I wrong?
