Lanterns is one of my most anticipated shows of next year, and I can't wait to see some of my favorite Lanterns get their time to shine in the new DCU. In celebration of the upcoming series, who are your favorite Green Lanterns and why, and do you think they will show up in Lanterns? My top 5 Green Lanterns are: Kyle Rayner (no one is surprised, but he is the greatest) Jo Mullein Guy Gardner Jessica Cruz Soranik Natu Honorary mentions are Kilowog, Ch'p, and Volk. I think Ch'p is a lock for the show, and wouldn't be surprised to see MOGO make it to the show as well.

Happy New Comic Book Day everyone! Comics are closing out the year right with several big releases, and while last week was all about the Absolute Universe, this week is Marvel's time to shine with the Ultimate Universe, as both The Ultimates #19 and Ultimate Endgame #1 are hitting stores at the same time. It's not the biggest week of releases, but there are some gems, including Radiant Black #39, Sorcerer Supreme #1, Feral #19, and Lost Fantasy #6. On the trades side, standouts include Storm Vol. 2: Thunder War, Captain America (Jeph Loeb & Tim Sale), Wolverine and Kitty Pryde, and Misfit City Complete Collection TP. The title kind of says it all. I'm of the mind that Judas is finally going to be released at some point in 2026. They continue to release new info about the game every few months but still refuse to say when it will launch. I have a feeling it'll be out before the end of 2026. Splinter Cell Remake is also another one that I think could be revealed and soon after quickly released, but it's hard to ever know what's going on at Ubisoft.

The latest Doomsday teaser trailer is officially online: What did you think? Are you hyped for Doomsday? I’m excited to see Thor and Cap back but after Multiverse of Madness (and even RDJ being cast as Doom), I’m worried this movie has too much going on to actually be a good story on its own merits. Would love to be wrong and I’m sure it’ll be fun - but I’m not sure it’s what the MCU actually needs to get back on track.

I LOVED Smallville and am thoroughly enjoying the Talkville rewatch podcast. However, some of those episodes are rouuuuugh - enough that it makes it hard to recommend someone who hasn’t seen the series watch the whole thing.

The problem with mythical “gods” in the current Marvel Comics universe is that they were nerfed over the past two decades to promote characters like Thor into being “omega level” characters for lack of a better term. Ragnorok is supposed to be a reset for the Norse gods. They die and everything goes back to the starting point, with new gods starting over. Marvel killing off Odin and giving Thor the “Odinpower” isn’t what happens in Norse mythology. The whole reason that Thor exists in the Marvel Universe is because the true GOD of the Marvel Universe, Joe Kirby, found a book about mythology and decided to make Thor a comic book character. We can talk all day long about bad comic book movies, but rarely do the worst ones surprise us. I want to know which films disappointed you the most, because you were really excited going in. Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice comes to mind immediately. Captain America: Civil War is another one because my expectations were sky-high, and it fell just a little short for me.

I have watched the new Dune 3 trailer as Denis Villeneuve intended... on my 15-inch Macbook screen. What does everyone think of this? It looks just as epic as the first trailer. My most anticipated movie of the fall/winter. Will definitely be seeing this before Doomsday. I sincerely hope my theater shows this before The Odyssey. I never saw the first Dune 3 teaser in the theater, sadly.

Widow's Bay got a bunch of Emmys noms, but curious to see how it's going to stack in the comedy category. There's a lot of competition especially from Hacks, and even Apple's other great recent hit that also got a lot of noms, Margo's Got Money Troubles. Curious to see how it works out.

My list includes The Wire and The Americans, both of which never won Drama series Emmys. The Wire never got nominated; The Americans got ONE acting win and a writers' win for the final season. Looking back now, that's WILD. What other shows do you think were criminally overlooked in their time?
