  1. The new Toy Story 5 trailer has released - what are you thoughts on it? I've been more optimistic than most, I think, since the movie was announced - I get the "we don't need it" complaints but Pixar has never missed with this franchise in terms of movies, and based on the trailer, I don't think that's about to start now. Looks great, imo. Telling the right story, funny, emotional, I'm in.
  2. I only know Gen 1 and 2 so was not aware of this until now and OH MY GOD. And perhaps even more so Dachsbun! Might have to change my answer
  3. Forcing myself to pick just two: Arcanine (massive fluffy fire dog!) and Feraligatr (mostly for the fond memories of destroying the entire Elite Four/Lance with him on Pokémon Gold). Several honourable mentions though: Dragonite, Vaporeon, Charizard, Rapidash, Haunter, and Lapras.
  4. I think it's already disappointing, in that the casting/announcement was obviously so desperate. And I think it might be disappointing if we don't get another Doom in the future of the MCU. In terms of Doomsday/Secret Wars, I think my bigger concerns are how much it's just gonna be Nostalgia: The Movie than the RDJ element specifically - he's a great actor so I don't really doubt he'll give a good performance. And honestly, I'd rather they didn't overexplain his casting with some Doom-is-Stark or Stark-was-Doom shite, I don't need it, just give me a compelling character.
  5. Very much agree on The Boys. I never watched Supernatural, but I know that's one people usually say for this question and it went WAY beyond Kripke's 5-season plan, so I'm glad he seems to have learned from that
  6. TWD definitely started having issues around Season 7, but I probably wouldn't have checked out if they hadn't killed Carl tbh, that ruined the entire point of the series for me. Some others that went too long imo: The Handmaid's Tale, Killing Eve, Two and a Half Men
  7. Absolutely all of this. THIS is the way.
  8. Black and white trailer looks wayyyyyy better imo (and feels more fitting for the tone/genre)
  9. Chappell Roan, Dolly Parton (imagine the Jolene bit they could do with her, Miss Piggy, and Kermit), NPH, get Jason Segel back, and Michael Caine as himself but the Muppets all fully think he's Scrooge
  10. One of mine is also King-Size Homer, probably that or Homer at the Bat for 1 and 2, and gun to my head King-Size wins out. Homer the Great and You Only Move Twice would both definitely be there up as well. And can't not mention Marge vs. The Monorail and Last Exit to Springfield as probably the two objective best episodes, though I have a personal preference for the others I mentioned. Could pick almost any Golden Age episode though tbh
  11. Inspired by this article http://comicbook.com/tv-shows/list/there-can-be-no-debate-that-these-10-fantasy-books-are-all-10-10-masterpieces/ I'm curious what your favourites are and what you'd consider 10/10s? Some of mine would be A Storm of Swords, Northern Lights/The Golden Compass, The Name of the Wind, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, Mistborn (book 1), The Book Thief (not conventional fantasy, but the presence of Death qualifies it imo), and Alice in Wonderland.
  12. I get why it bombed (unknown team with confusing title; also confusing sort-of-sequel to a terrible movie that only brings back 1 character/actor and without its biggest star (see also: The Suicide Squad); R rating when I think this specifically would've been better as PG-13, and several other factors) but I really wish it hadn't. Easily one of the best DCEU movies (a low bar, but still, it's a damn entertaining movie) and I'd love to have seen more of this group of characters
  13. To give one from each movie: Boromir's death, literally every single millisecond of Helm's Deep, Sam's "I can carry you." And also the Ride of the Rohirrim. And lighting of the beacons. And the opening Shire scene in Fellowship is just lovely. Oh and everything everyone else has already said and also every other scene in the trilogy tbh (with the exception of Shelob because I'd rather never think about it)
  14. Yeahhh the idea that they have no real story to sell and that's why they're going with this approach seems even more likely now. Bizarre choice, obviously just banking on kids wanting to see Baby Yoda at this point but I don't get it
  15. You can check them all out here: https://comicbook.com/movies/list/watch-every-super-bowl-2026-movie-tv-trailer/ Project Hail Mary continues to look like one of the most exciting movies of the year. Disclosure Day I'm intrigued by. Puppy Krypto melted my heart. And I've not got a fucking clue what Lucasfilm is doing with Mando 🤷‍♂️ What did you think of them all?
  16. Exactly the same here. I now just do a full OT rewatch once per year.
  17. Well, I think "The Body" is the absolute best thing the show ever did ("Hush" and "Once More..." are up there, but it's just so much more impactful), but there's a difference between best and favourite. For that I'd go with one of these two-parters: "Surprise"/"Innocence" or "Becoming - Part 1 & 2", the latter of which I think has the most defining moment of the show and Buffy as a hero: "No weapons, no friends. No hope. Take all that away and what's left?" "Me." If expanding out into the Buffyverse, I also have to give a shoutout to Angel's "I Will Remember You," which I simply adore and it gets me right in the chest every single time, without fail, for over 20 years now. Yes, everything I've picked is Buffy & Angel-related, and no, that's not a coincidence.
  18. Oh yeah, Denis doing it will turn me into the world's biggest Bond fan when that releases
  19. Star Trek, Doctor Who, and James Bond are all very similar in that I liked/loved some of the modern releases (Star Trek (2009) and Star Trek Beyond, S1-9 of modern Who, and Casino Royale/Skyfall are all good-to-great), but just never got into the older stuff (Bond), or never even really attempted to because there's so much and it seems very daunting (Trek/Who)
  20. I'm mixed on Emerald Fennell as a filmmaker but do already have tickets booked for Wuthering Heights (more intrigued than excited, I would say). Scream 7 is the one I'm most excited for
  21. Worst to best: Scream 3 Scream VI Scream (2022) Scream 2 Scream 4 Scream (1996)
  22. All I read here was you writing the words "The Last Jedi... great Star Wars movie."
  23. But seriously I do actually think this is an interesting point
  24. Y'know, this is close to Luke saying "That Force does not belong to the Jedi" in The Last Jedi, just saying... Always knew you loved that movie!
  25. So The Clone Wars isn't true canon to you??
