Feels like one of the first times that a major fan theory for a comic book show was not only on the money, but the reveal didn't feel cheap at all. Can't wait to see what happens the next two episodes because there's a lot to explore in just an hour.

Spoilers follow!

X-Men '97 Season 2. Hands down one of the best things Marvel Studios has done in the past six years, hopefully it can clear the high bar of Season 1 (and if it stinks, then we saw it early and we can move on)

Honestly if this was the penultimate episode it would have been solid, but knowing we have to wait at least a year, probably two, for an answer made it kind of frustrating. Not to mention the conclusion (kids rule, adults drool) largely has no teeth as a story with the Yutani people on their way to the island. Overall I still think the series was really cool and had some great moments but the ending didn't really do much for me, which is disappointing.

I have a cynical take about the timing of this trailer premiere, but going off the footage alone this does not seem special. If they wanted to sell it as an episode of the show but in theaters, I guess good job.

First movie is one of my all-time favorite CBMs, so I will wait as long as they want for the sequel. As far as villains, Court of Owls definitely could be cool, but I think Deathstroke might be the one based on Matt Reeves' comments.

The big question in my mind is, do the final episodes of the season bring in David Corenswet as the Earth X Superman? My logic is meta, not textual to the show, because why else would Superman be premiering on HBO Max between the episodes that critics saw early and the episodes no one has seen. They want everyone caught up on the movie before the final stretch.

Leave it to James Gunn to make me sad about an alien character I'd never met before, who had no dialogue, getting killed in the opening scene.

Balatro will not only completely suck you in, but you'll realize that you have to stop yourself from playing more before bed.

I think Flashpoint might carry the weight of being its own line-wide reboot that then lead into New 52, which feels unfair because the ideas were at least creative. Months of publishing alternate titles is till a move that would work!

I Am Not Okay With This is probably the point where I stopped even engaging with Netflix TV shows. Great series, huge cliffhanger, then nothing but a cancellation. My old man answer is Lights Out, a FX drama about a washed up boxer. Great series with a devastating ending.

Beneath the Trees Where Nobody Sees is one of the most unique intersections of genre and aesthetic that really only works in comics, it's such a breath of fresh air. Cherry on top is the new sequel series is going in an exciting direction too.
