Adding my voice to The Bone Temple hype parade. The fact that it looks even more bananas than the first 28 Years Later is stunning.

It makes sense that Evans, Hemsworth, and Downey all seem to be getting their own. I think if we're going based on pure hype and building anticipation based on Marvel history, it should be one for the entire OG X-Men cast.

I think the theater-only trailers happen so infrequently that it makes them fun and special. Plus, let we forget, these are marketing materials meant for people that don't live on the internet all day like some of us

Been waiting on an Overwatch TV show since it launched almost ten years ago. Weirdly enough, feels more likely to happen now than at any other point.

Part of this can be blamed on how the news was reported from unreliable Twitter scoopers, who said there were four "Trailers" that would be exclusive to movie theaters for the first month of Avatar 3. What's clear, though, is that these are barely even teaser trailers, but also that Marvel's plan isn't some hubristic assumption that people will show up for all of these. They're building hype, even with the leaks. People have to remember that a major chunk of the audience for movies like this aren't living online and combing over every little detail and rumor, so when they see that Steve Rogers teaser ahead of Avatar, it's brand new information for a lot of folks, not only that Evans is back but that a new Avengers movie is coming out at all. It's not for us, the online denizens, it's for the normies.

I'm starting to wonder if all the other trailers will be focused on characters we didn't know were going to be in the movie. One will obviously be RDJ as Doom, but this would be a great way to build hype for those of us keeping up with every rumor.

Of all the "well now the Batman villain is a big monster" takes in Absolute Batman, this is the one that at least makes the most sense.

Yup, nail on the head, I have the exact same criticisms on top of the fact that the plot is ludicrous. Skarsgard remains compelling to watch though which is why I don't think it was a total loss, but it gives me a lot of pause over Andy doing Batman in the DCU.

I get WHY they let Cawthon have so much control over this franchise, but you're right. Is it really that hard to find someone with actual narrative experience to help out?

It's a little disappointing that the color palette seems so dour compared to the comic, but I can't deny that tonally it seems like a blast.

I think they need to pull a PREY and apply the formula to a new era, force themselves to re-write the rules because it's set in like the old west or the 1960s
