New Comic Book Day! What’s everyone picking up this week?
It’s New Comic Book Day again, and I’m curious what everyone’s grabbing. My pull list keeps growing lately because there just seem to be so many great books out right now. This is a great time to be into comics! I’m especially interested to see how people are feeling about the Absolute Universe titles as more of them hit shelves. What’s on your list today? Did you grab something different, or are you sticking with your usual runs?

Bebop and Rocksteady have always been my favorite henchmen! They work great together and love their job!

[Giveaway] COWABUNGA! $250 in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles & The Last Ronin Comics
Finally, someone chose a villain! Have you read the Shredder's solo comic? It's on issue 4 at the moment so you can still catch up. It's really good so far.

I'm curious to hear which villains everyone likes.

[Giveaway] COWABUNGA! $250 in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles & The Last Ronin Comics
Same! I like how he's the team's wildcard and super talented, but has a hard time focusing.

Who would win in a fight?
These would make some great matchups! I especially like the idea of Batman vs. Ironman.

Mikey
Hi Corey, was this meant to go in the Giveaway thread? I just wanted to check so you don't miss out on it.

Introduction
Welcome to the forum, Gabriel! Are you more into comics or movies?

What do you think of Wonder Man?
I haven't seen it yet, but it's on my list. I read that they almost cancelled it, but I'm glad they went ahead and released it.

Thanos might be in Avengers: Secret Wars (Is that too much nostalgia bait?)
Now that's an idea I could get behind! Wouldn't have to build it up the story too much either. He could literally just show up and give us that scene.

Do You Stick With One Comic Run Until You Finish It, or Bounce Between Multiple Runs?
That's a nice collection!

Do You Stick With One Comic Run Until You Finish It, or Bounce Between Multiple Runs?
Have you started Infernal Hulk yet? I almost buy it every time I'm in the shop, but I still have about 24 more Immortal Hulks left.

[Giveaway] COWABUNGA! $250 in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles & The Last Ronin Comics
The Last Ronin is such an awesome series! I recommend it to everyone. That story honestly made me appreciate Mikey even more, so he’s my all-time favorite. I love all the Turtles, but Mikey’s fun-loving personality has always made him stand out.

What are you watching this week?
We do the same occasionally and try to watch the all the way through. I don't think I'll add the most recent installment though, it wasn't nearly the same feeling the others had.

Thanos might be in Avengers: Secret Wars (Is that too much nostalgia bait?)
I feel like that would be stuffing too much into one movie. We would all love to see that scene where Doom kills Thanos, but I don't know if there would be enough time to fully flesh it all out. Unless Thanos is fighting alongside the heroes against Doom and then it happens.

Did Something Is Killing the Children hook you enough to keep reading?
I just finished Volume 1 of Something Is Killing the Children, and I ended up reading the whole thing in one sitting. I really liked the tone and the mystery, and it definitely held my attention. The art was interesting as well. That said, I’ve only read the first volume, so I’m curious from people who kept going. Does it continue to build in a satisfying way, or does it change pace or focus as it goes on?

Do You Stick With One Comic Run Until You Finish It, or Bounce Between Multiple Runs?
I'm a completionist as well and started sticking to one thing until it's finished and only breaking to read new comic book day pulls that I'm keeping up with. I'm about half-way through Immortal Hulk and it's still just as good as when I started it.

Do You Stick With One Comic Run Until You Finish It, or Bounce Between Multiple Runs?
It can get tough to stick with it after 100 or so issues, especially if there's been a lot of writer and artist changes throughout. I like to take specific events and read straight through or shorter runs that are in the 50 issue count and read those straight through.

Do You Stick With One Comic Run Until You Finish It, or Bounce Between Multiple Runs?
I usually just read what comes out on new comic book day, but lately I've been digging into older series that I missed and reading all the way through. Immortal Hulk is one of the few that I can keep going without getting bored. Many series start off good, then lose it somewhere in the middle and it's hard to stick with them.

Do you still want to see Sam Raimi's Spider-Man 4?
Do you think they'll bring him back for Doomsday? I've heard rumors, but who knows what's real.

What are you watching this week?
I finally got the kids off of their devices long enough to watch the original Jurassic Park : )
-
What did you think of Guillermo del Toro’s Frankenstein?
I agree, definitely top 3 horror movies. I was surprised because I honestly didn't know what to expect. I thought it would just be a monster film, but wow, it had so many layers.
-
What does the Terminator series need to get on track?
That's probably what's happening now 😂
-
Blizzard's Big Tease
Yeah, it’s surprising. Do you think they’re being cautious because expectations would be so high, or just focused elsewhere right now? I know there's a huge fan base for the game.

What comic character do you think is consistently miswritten?
Yep, I can see that. I read Iron Man comics as a kid, but got bored with him easily.
