  1. These would make some great matchups! I especially like the idea of Batman vs. Ironman.
  2. FantasticJerome replied to Corey's topic in Comics
Hi Corey, was this meant to go in the Giveaway thread? I just wanted to check so you don't miss out on it.
  3. Welcome to the forum, Gabriel! Are you more into comics or movies?
  4. I haven't seen it yet, but it's on my list. I read that they almost cancelled it, but I'm glad they went ahead and released it.
  5. Now that's an idea I could get behind! Wouldn't have to build it up the story too much either. He could literally just show up and give us that scene.
  6. Have you started Infernal Hulk yet? I almost buy it every time I'm in the shop, but I still have about 24 more Immortal Hulks left.
  7. The Last Ronin is such an awesome series! I recommend it to everyone. That story honestly made me appreciate Mikey even more, so he’s my all-time favorite. I love all the Turtles, but Mikey’s fun-loving personality has always made him stand out.
  8. We do the same occasionally and try to watch the all the way through. I don't think I'll add the most recent installment though, it wasn't nearly the same feeling the others had.
  9. I feel like that would be stuffing too much into one movie. We would all love to see that scene where Doom kills Thanos, but I don't know if there would be enough time to fully flesh it all out. Unless Thanos is fighting alongside the heroes against Doom and then it happens.
  10. I just finished Volume 1 of Something Is Killing the Children, and I ended up reading the whole thing in one sitting. I really liked the tone and the mystery, and it definitely held my attention. The art was interesting as well. That said, I’ve only read the first volume, so I’m curious from people who kept going. Does it continue to build in a satisfying way, or does it change pace or focus as it goes on?
  11. I'm a completionist as well and started sticking to one thing until it's finished and only breaking to read new comic book day pulls that I'm keeping up with. I'm about half-way through Immortal Hulk and it's still just as good as when I started it.
  12. It can get tough to stick with it after 100 or so issues, especially if there's been a lot of writer and artist changes throughout. I like to take specific events and read straight through or shorter runs that are in the 50 issue count and read those straight through.
  13. I usually just read what comes out on new comic book day, but lately I've been digging into older series that I missed and reading all the way through. Immortal Hulk is one of the few that I can keep going without getting bored. Many series start off good, then lose it somewhere in the middle and it's hard to stick with them.
  14. Do you think they'll bring him back for Doomsday? I've heard rumors, but who knows what's real.
  15. I finally got the kids off of their devices long enough to watch the original Jurassic Park : )
  16. I agree, definitely top 3 horror movies. I was surprised because I honestly didn't know what to expect. I thought it would just be a monster film, but wow, it had so many layers.
  17. That's probably what's happening now 😂
  18. Yeah, it’s surprising. Do you think they’re being cautious because expectations would be so high, or just focused elsewhere right now? I know there's a huge fan base for the game.
  19. Yep, I can see that. I read Iron Man comics as a kid, but got bored with him easily.
  20. I can imagine it's tough to keep all characters consistent, especially those who've been around so long. Also, I'm sure there are many writers who write characters without doing enough research and that probably contributes to some issues.
  21. Good choice! I'll have to admit, I haven't read much of Shang Chi, but I do like the character.
  22. I’m curious how people actually read longer comic runs. When you start something substantial like Immortal Hulk with 50 issues, do you try to read it straight through, or do you take breaks and jump into other series along the way? Not really talking about new comic day or ongoing monthly pulls, but more about sitting down with a completed or nearly completed run. Do you prefer the momentum of finishing one story at a time, or do you enjoy rotating between different runs so things don’t feel too heavy or repetitive?
  23. I made it pretty far through the Immortal Hulk run! Still have quite a few issues to read, but it's been nice to just sit back and read.
