FantasticJerome

I’m thinking about getting a Meta Quest for Christmas. I have never owned a VR headset before, so I’m trying to figure out if it is worth the money. If you have one, do you still use it regularly or does it get old fast? I’d also like to know which games are actually good. I see a lot of mixed opinions online, so I’d rather hear from people who really play it. What are the must play games for a new VR user? I like action, story-driven games, horror, and anything comic related. Any advice or game recommendations would help a lot. Thanks!

Probably none of them because I'm always the guy who gets voted to handle situations but I would at least put up a good fight and maybe others would survive with my sacrifice 😂

I've been seeing a ton of deals on Funko Pops lately. Good time to add to your collection.

I have been checking out Marvel Cosmic Invasion and the roster looks really good! Besides the usual picks like Captain America and Spider-Man, I'm interested in some of the lesser-used characters like Phyla Vell, Beta Ray Bill, and Nova. Silver Surfer and Phoenix also look amazing! Honestly, they all look great. My son loves Cosmic Ghost Rider so that will probably be his main choice the second we play it. Has anyone here played it yet? Who are your favorite characters?

Whatever it costs I'm sure I'll have to buy it for my son 😂

I love this forum! I look forward to talking about comics and the MCU daily : )

It's funny I was thinking of Lost yesterday lol I wonder if it's worth watching again. I doubt it would come close to the first watch through, but could still be fun.

It counts! lol

I think any movie that takes place during Thanksgiving would qualify. My favorite has always been Planes, Trains, and Automobiles. I do wish there were more Thanksgiving movies.

Probably when TMNT figures first came out. My mom fought the crowds to make sure I had all 4 original turtles. Another great one is when I had a "military" Christmas and everything was Rambo, camouflage, and G.I. Joe.

I've really been getting into statues and figures lately, and I’d love to add either a Predator or a Gambit piece to my collection. I honestly don’t even know where to start, but I’ve been checking out different companies and spotted some great deals on Sideshow, just haven’t taken the plunge yet. I’m putting together a small creative studio and looking for cool pieces to use as background for videos, and figured a statue would be perfect for the setup.

We do eat a lot of gumbo here lol

Gambit brings cornbread dressing because he's from Louisiana.

Probably weekly releases to prevent spoilers. I usually don't have time to watch multiple episodes at the same time and have to avoid reading too much about the current season.

I totally forgot about Redcoat lol I think they are actually in talks to do something with it right now.

It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia had a wild Thanksgiving epioside "The Gang Squashes Their Beefs" lol

The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past was my favorite game on the SNES, and I played it nonstop. I had some lonely times growing up, and that game was a real companion when I needed one. I used to watch the ending over and over.

We watch Planes, Trains and Automobiles every Thanksgiving.

I would like to see Rook: Exodus, Geiger, and Junkyard Joe : )

Congrats ComicBob!

I’ve got a footlocker packed with the comics I collected as a kid, still sitting in storage. There are probably some surprises in there I’ve forgotten about, but from the ones I remember for sure, my biggest books are probably X-Men #266 (Gambit) and Raphael #1. I bought 3 copies of X-Men 266 when I first heard they were making a Gambit movie and they've went way up in value even though the movie never materialized.

I think Stranger Things came at the perfect time and we may not have a true replacement for a long time. It was the perfect mix of 80s nostalgia that so many people needed at the time, especially my generation. There may be a few shows that come close, but I feel that Stranger Things filled a need similar to how The Walking Dead did at the time and we may be in for a wait before something tops what it built.

I just looked up the guest list and wow! We love The Lord of the Rings : )

That would be fun!

I’d really like to go! I’ve only been to a couple of conventions, one in Louisiana and one in Texas, but they were both a lot of fun. A few people have suggested I start cosplaying as Panno from Fantastic Four, so I’m hoping to get more involved in conventions next year. Maybe I’ll get to meet some of you at conventions one day!
