April 10Apr 10 Will Nintendo make a brand new Smash Bros. game, or will they just give Ultimate the Switch 2 Edition treatment? I'd like to hear your thoughts!!!
April 10Apr 10 CB Team With how long it's been since Ultimate first came out, I really hope we get a brand-new game in the next few years. But Nintendo does seem to be leaning in to Switch 2 editions, so I wouldn't be surprised if they go that route.
April 10Apr 10 CB Team Feels like a new game is inevitable. The question is, how will they top the last one? They made so many deals and brought in so many other characters, it'll be tough to beat that.
April 10Apr 10 CB Team Considering Sakurai and his team were busy with Kirby up until the end of last year, I imagine we will get a Switch 2 edition to bridge the gap before the next installment, which I imagine will reboot the series.
April 10Apr 10 CB Team Even with as stacked as the last game was, I imagine we'll get a sequel. For my dream crossovers, I need Super Mash to have:Dungeon Crawler CarlCody RhodesAlexa BlissMonkey D. LuffyDonatelloIf we got those guest characters, I'd buy instantly haha

April 14Apr 14 CB Team I think they'll do both. A Switch 2 upgrade for 2026/2027, and a new game by 2028.
April 15Apr 15 CB Team Smash makes too much money for Nintendo to leave it alone forever. There will be a new game eventually. I'm just not sure how they go about topping Ultimate. It's going to be very difficult.
