I gottta be honest, that's my biggest concern for the show... Sure, many new players jumped aboard the franchise with 2018's God of War. Still, the game has dozens of hours to tease Kratos' past and explain his complicated relationship with violence and revenge. Plus, the game was always sold as a sequel, from the start, so people who felt lost could get back to previous games. The series is aimed at a broader audience that doesn't play games. So it's a massive gamble to skip years of story. They might need some heavy-handed flashbacks, a lot of exposition, or, worse of all, change Kratos' origins. What do you think about it?

My hot take is that knock off or off brand Lego are exponentially better than actual Lego. I can get the UCS Death Star for $140 and it the finished product is 1:1 with the same $1000 set. There is no downside as the bricks have gotten so high quality they rival LEGO.

Caught Hoppers yesterday and it rules. It's got an emotional core, but that's not the entire focus of it. It's not like the other Pixar movies weighed down by all sorts of that societal stuff, and it just has a lot of fun shenanigans. Hope it kicks off a more breezier era for their originals. Just have fun with these things.

Hey everyone, With production for Sonic the Hedgehog 4 officially underway and that mysterious "Sonic Universe Event Film" slated for December 2028, the cast is getting absolutely stacked. We just got confirmation of Kristen Bell as Amy Rose and rumors of Sir Ben Kingsley joining the fray—but I still feel like there’s a Natalie Portman-sized hole in this franchise. 🌌 Portman has already conquered Star Wars and the MCU, so why not the SCU? I like the series overall, and the art is breathtaking (thank you, Jorge Jimenez!). That said, I still can't tell where the series is going, and I definitely didn't like its approach to the Joker. Every time someone tries to explain why the Joker is the Joker, that takes away from the character, in my opinion. Giving Joker this ultra-rational personality and all the meta-scientific explanations for why he is how he is just didn't work for me. What did you think?

With Pokémon Day coming up on February 27, 2027, I thought it would be fun to see what everyone is hoping for this time around. This thread was actually suggested by @Comicbookfan101 in another discussion, so I figured we'd get one going! With Pokémon celebrating its 30th anniversary in 2026, it'll be interesting to see what The Pokémon Company has planned next. I just finished reading the first issues of all three of Marvel's new Midnight Universe comics, and I have to say, I'm really enjoying what they're doing so far.
