There have been some surprising breakout hits (Obsession) and some surprising disappointments (Supergirl, Super Mario Galaxy). As we now enter the 2nd half of 2026, what has been YOUR favorite film?

I recently put together a list of 7 superheroes that are perfect for animation that haven't starred in their own series yet, and would love to hear your dream picks! I'd watch any of these in a heartbeat, and funnily enough, a week later, Absolute Batman was announced as an actual animated series, so we are already on the right track haha.

When you're picking up a new comic, do you usually stick with Cover A, or do you go hunting for variants? I'm a bit of a stickler when it comes to Cover A. Even if I really like a variant, I almost always want the main cover in my collection first. Then, if a variant has particularly great artwork or features one of my favorite artists, I might pick up a second copy. What about everyone else? Do you always grab Cover A, chase variants, hunt ratio incentives, or just buy whichever cover catches your eye?

Between Marvel, DC, and Image, we've seen a lot of incredible stories make it to the big screen. But there are still plenty of comic arcs that seem perfect for a movie or TV series and somehow haven't happened. What's one comic story you can't believe still hasn't been adapted?

PlayStation just announced it will move away from physical game discs entirely by 2028. The timing is wild after the backlash for GTA 6's "code in a box" physical edition. What do you think about this major move towards a digital-only gaming landscape? Personally, I don't really buy physical games because of the space and convenience of digital. But I still don't like companies making everything digital, especially when they've got a history of yanking licenses away from people.

Just noticed that Netflix is now streaming one of my absolute favorite Godzilla movies, 2001's Godzilla, Mothra and King Ghidorah: Giant Monsters All-Out Attack. HIGHLY recommend it for anyone interested in the series but not sure where to start, especially if Godzilla Minus One whet your appetite for the franchise. This one also features Godzilla being a menace, but unlike Minus One, has other kaiju too

I've been thinking a lot about Supergirl and the DCU recently, and while I don't want to overreact to one movie underperforming, I do think there are some interesting discussions to be had. Gunn is basically trying to be DC's Kevin Feige figure (I know Peter Safran is up there with him) while also writing and directing stuff. To me, that seems nuts. Feige is always just a producer at Marvel. He doesn't write and direct on top of that. Producing/running a shared universe and writing/directing a movie seem like such time consuming jobs on their own, part of me is wondering if Gunn is spreading himself too thin and would be better served focusing on just one. Supergirl is th…

If, as he says, Tom Holland is working hard to bring Miles Morales into the MCU, it can't be too long before we see him, but who would you cast? I think I'd go for an unknown (if not completely unknown, as unknown as Tom Holland was when he was cast for Civil War). No baggage means no expectations from fans...

We're halfway through the year (somehow), so what's the best new show that's premiered over the past six months that's become your favorite? For me, it's Widow's Bay. I think Apple is quietly becoming the best streaming service, and this show just checks every box for me.

The news article regarding the "unknown" prototypes of Planet of the Apes (https://www.ebay.com/itm/389495134742) ... For what it's worth; these prototypes (I believe they are the same ones) used to be owned by Tom Tumbusch of Tomart's Action Figure Digest fame, of which I served as EIC for a number of years in the late '90s and early 2000s. While they sat in a box in the display room of our offices the entire time I worked there, I remember him showing the protos to me once, and he referred to them as prototypes for a Congo spin-off. I created the recurring "Greatest Figures Never Made" article series, and even I did not include these prototypes in any of our articles, d…
