Change the Fate of a TV Character

Featured Replies

I wouldn’t change it because Veep is perfect but poor Gary definitely got messed over. Such a downer ending for a lovable character who just wanted the best for Selina, which is about as Veep as it getsIMG_7408.webp

Deb from Dexter. After being a total badass for eight seasons, she gets shot from some moron freeing a captured serial killer. She actually survives the gunshot and even has a successful surgery, but succumbs to a sudden blood clot. Totally baffling! It felt rushed, unearned, and frustrating. I don't hate the idea of her being the last person Dexter buries at sea, it feels fitting, but it feels like they came up with that idea before figuring out how she would actually die.

I am glad they brought her back in Dexter: New Blood as a "ghost", but she deserved a better death.

Oh man. So true. This was definitely the hardest pill to swallow for that ending.

Agreed on this. Absolutely ridiculous. I remember thinking it wasn’t true because it literally happens off-screen.

There are two that come to mind immediately one from a great show and the other one not so much but I digress.

#1: Ray Nadeem Ray_Nadeem.jpeg

I still feel a pit in my stomach for him in Daredevil Season 3, just wish he was able to get that pool for his kids.

#2 Laurel Lance (Earth 1)Earth 1 Laurel.jpeg

A lot can be said about Laurel on Arrow, and a lot about Arrow for that matter but the point remains, she got killed and was replaced by a different version that was a villain played by the same actor. I'm happy she got to play a stronger character but the disrespect she was treated to for the first four seasons was insane to think about and still having her dead post crisis (tv version) is insane to think about.

Outside of those two, this one will haunt me to the end of my days...Skull emoji.jpeg
The less said the better, all I'm gonna say here is watch Twin Peaks. Not gonna spoil this one out of basic principle.

Laurel Lance on Arrow. That show did her dirty from the start. I am still angry about how the character was treated overall to the point it kind of tarnishes the whole series for me.

Sam Beckett from Quantum Leap. The ending of that Show was so whack. You’re telling me he can choose where he leaps but he NEVER Returned home? Pssshhhh lol

Lana Lang on Smallville...the writers did her so dirty! I would've completely undid the whole marrying Lex storyline and while I like that she became more empowered by the end of her run on the show making her Kryptonite incarnate felt so on the nose!

I would protect my intelligent gangster at all costs! That death gave me legit nightmares! Still have them (of being hunted down)!

Dean Winchester. I'm glad that Sam got to go on and live a life free from monsters and demons but Dean sacrificed himself for the world so many times, plus his personal relationship with both God and an Angel, you think they'd find some way to give him happiness in life. Give him a wife and child. I think the one thing Dean really wanted was a chance to be a better father than he had. Not that he hated his dad or anything, just that he wanted to prove to himself that he could be a loving Dad and protect his children without forcing into the Hunter life.

I think it just bothers me that he went out on a random vampire attack. I realize that's the way life is. It's always what you never see coming, and I'm not upset with the ending, I just wish he got a little bit more
