It's quite fascinating to see this play out so publicly between the two camps, with SMG trying to put all the blame on Hulu and that executive, and then the studio coming back with that hit piece on Chloé Zhao. I assume, as usual, the truth lies somewhere in the middle. Zhao's an odd fit for the show (based on her movies), there were differences of opinion over what it should be, it wasn't great, but that they also weren't given the best shot at making it work, it's just quite rare to see it all happen so openly.

Mine would be Breaking Dawn Part 2. The entire movie was a blast to see in theaters with other fans, but the fight scene in particular is honestly one of my favorite movie theater experiences. I’d been a fan of the books before the movies came out, and so I was not at all expecting the fight scene or that twist. I remember the entire theater gasping and screaming at once. It was just such an awesome collective experience to have.

Who's headed out to see Project Hail Mary this weekend? Curious what everyone thinks given the tidal wave of hype around it . Personally, I really enjoyed it. I previously listened to the excellent audiobook (highly recommend) so I was a little predisposed to liking it. About my only criticism is that they have to condense so much from the book that some of the flashbacks to Earth aren't as substantive as they are in the novel.

With the Oscars behind us, what movies have you enjoyed so far this year? I saw an early screening of Project Hail Mary yesterday. It was ok enough, I thought ut ran a bit long. Certainly wouldn't give it a 90 something like it's scoring on Rottentomatoes.com

The success of X-Men '97 is kind of amazing, it's the highest rated Marvel show ever. Given the post-credit scene in this week's episode with the Avengers, should Marvel be expanding this corner of animation with more shows?
