An oxymoron, but I was thinking about that arc from Morrison's X-Men with the kids who are technically mutants but whose powers are...bad. What would be a superpower that is totally useless for a superhero team, but would actually be useful in every day life? I'm thinking like, you can teleport but only three feet at a time, or, you can fly but it's the same exertion as running.

I gottta be honest, that's my biggest concern for the show... Sure, many new players jumped aboard the franchise with 2018's God of War. Still, the game has dozens of hours to tease Kratos' past and explain his complicated relationship with violence and revenge. Plus, the game was always sold as a sequel, from the start, so people who felt lost could get back to previous games. The series is aimed at a broader audience that doesn't play games. So it's a massive gamble to skip years of story. They might need some heavy-handed flashbacks, a lot of exposition, or, worse of all, change Kratos' origins. What do you think about it?

My hot take is that knock off or off brand Lego are exponentially better than actual Lego. I can get the UCS Death Star for $140 and it the finished product is 1:1 with the same $1000 set. There is no downside as the bricks have gotten so high quality they rival LEGO.

Caught Hoppers yesterday and it rules. It's got an emotional core, but that's not the entire focus of it. It's not like the other Pixar movies weighed down by all sorts of that societal stuff, and it just has a lot of fun shenanigans. Hope it kicks off a more breezier era for their originals. Just have fun with these things.
