The marketing campaign for Transformers' 40th has been so funny. Literally apologizing for killing Optimus.

I covered this on the site today and commenters seem really mixed on when the trailer will be publicly available. https://comicbook.com/movies/news/fans-are-convinced-the-doomsday-trailer-will-release-online-soon-thanks-to-official-marvel-account-tease/ Will it release this week? Ahead of Mandalorian and Grogu? SDCC 2026? A random time in the next 1-2 months? In front of Mando and Grogu would make sense - especially with that movie looking like it’s tracking soft at the box office. But… with the amount of AI recreations of the trailer out there, it might force their hands and we’ll see it sooner.

I definitely think they should take a page from SDCC and release some of it online. I can understand why we might not see the Clayface teaser or in-person comments made by stars who are in attendance (these are the "you had to be there" things) but why wouldn't you release sizzle reel trailers (Supergirl, etc) - at least a day or so after?

Major changes might be coming to the plan for Avatar 4 & 5 - not to mention the planned theme park expansion. https://comicbook.com/movies/news/new-avatar-4-5-updates-tease-major-changes-for-james-camerons-sci-fi-franchise/ Avatar: Fire & Ash was a terrible way to end the franchise - and Cameron seems over it. I want more films but I'm concerned "cheaper" and "shorter" Avatar movies uin the whole appeal of them. Shorter, maybe. Cheaper, depending on what that actually entails but I'd hate to lose the spectacle in a series that is one of the few truly "blockbuster" visual feasts for theaters these days. Should the sequels be cheaper and shorter? Or has the series just run out of unobtanium?

How have I never seen all this? WILD. The Ranger helmets and those VHS tapes - so dope. I’ll post pics of my setup later!

The kids look great - and, as a father who has a kid about the age I want to start exposing her to Potter and similar books, I can see this being something we watch together in season 2. The first movies are great, so I get why there's a bit of a question around this whole production but if they're able to flesh out more of the story and smaller bits that couldn't make it into the movies, I'm glad for a reason to watch through the saga again.

I'd love for them to do a sequel series - even if it was just a mini-series. Anything else short of that at this point is going to be a disappointment. They've hyped it up a lot and kept saying what it isn't going to be. Going to be pretty lame if it isn't the one thing everyone actually wants.

If you had to choose one post-apocalyptic hellscape to live in for the rest of your life, which one would you choose? I’m thinking Walking Dead - mostly because the zombies aren’t a major threat and you could, in theory, live off the grid and avoid people as long as you didn’t get too ambitious.

I’m in the minority of fans who was NOT excited RDJ was coming back to play Doom. And the more I’ve thought about it, the more I think fans will feel it was stunt casting and not necessarily the best choice. RDJ is a great actor and he’s great in the MCU. But most of the multiversal twists and alternate versions of characters have been a let down so far - and I don’t see why this will ultimately be much different. The best characters (and especially villains) in the MCU have been developed over multiple movies by actors who became iconic in the roles. I don’t see how RDJ can do that in this particular universe - given how central Tony was to the audience, story, and characters (including the most badass/emotional moment of Endgame).

Hello Hammer!
