Did you play the beta at all? I'm really curious to play the full game, but from that sample size, I'm not sure it dethrones Street Fighter or Tekken for me

It's almost New Comic Book Day, and we're here to get you ready for tomorrow's stacked lineup of new comics! Some immediate standouts are the Absolute books, which include Absolute Wonder Woman #15 (the first meeting of Absolute Batman and Wonder Woman!), Absolute Superman #14 (Battle of Kansas Conclusion), and Absolute Maritan Manhunter #7. There's also some intriguing DC K.O. tie-ins, including The Flash #28 and Red Hood vs. Joker. On the Marvel side, The Will of Doom #1 has big ripple effects moving forward, and there are a host of Age of Revelation books releasing, though I'm curious to know if everyone is enjoying that event and what you've thought of it so far. Other big highlights include TMNT: Battle Nexus #1, Skinbreaker #4, Gray Lady #1 from Image Comics, and the Gargoyles Winter Special 2025 #1 from Dynamite. On the Trades side, you can pick up some great books this week, including Absolute Flash Vol. 1, Green Lantern Compendium One: Rebirth, and Exceptional X-Men by Eve L. Ewing Vol. 2. Let us know what books you're thinking of picking up, and then come right back here after you've read everything to let us know what delivered and what didn't!

I've really enjoyed it, and while not every tie-in is gold, I've liked more than I haven't.

As someone who truly loves Greek Mythology in general and enjoys when people try to adapt The Odyssey in both film and TV, I'm down for it. I dig the overall look, and the cast is stacked. You also had me at Anne Hathaway. She doesn't really miss.

Every year, I feel like we get a promising update and then crickets. Would love to see it happen with Blumhouse though, so fingers crossed it actually gets made

Will always love Batman 66, such great memories of the entire series

Alan Wake for sure! The first game really was like watching an HBO show at times

I'm intrigued to see that universe back and what he's got planned!

There is! A show is currently in the works at Prime Video

Supposedly, the 3rd one is a Doom-focused one and the 4th one is a full teaser, but that's just what I've seen people saying online.

Hell yeah WWF WrestleMania and SmackDown! Also have plenty of memories with me battling my friends in Tekken

Gameday is also still one of my fave sports games period! Also Ape Escape is so damn fun

The original Beyond Good & Evil could be such a great TV show, and it's been a bit bewildering that we haven't received a Dragon Age or Mass Effect series or movie yet (I know the ME one is in development). I also would love to see Final Fantasy 12 adapted, as it's basically like FF Star Wars and that would rule.

Live-Action Wakka baby!!!

I seriously do not know how a Gears of War adaptation has taken so long. I feel like that world is so rich for an adaptation

Twisted Metal and Crash for sure, and The Simpsons Wrestling is wild!!!

I have incredibly fond memories of the original PlayStation, and aside from the Xbox 360 era, I've been a PlayStation player ever since. There were so many games I loved during that era, but I've got 5 games that come to mind most when I think of the PS1. Final Fantasy VII Metal Gear Solid Suikoden Resident Evil NBA Live 97 What are yours? Let me know!

All of us have our favorite comic characters who aren't exactly in the Spider-Man, Batman, or Wonder Woman tier of characters. Still, that doesn't mean they don't deserve some shine, so if you've got a non-A-list tier character you want to see get some solo spotlight in 2026, let us know who they are and what you'd like to see! One of my most anticipated series of next year is Imperial Guardians, as it includes one of my favorites in Darkhawk (not to mention Captain Marvel). Since that's covered, I'm going to pivot to wanting a new series spotlighting Detective Chimp or Huntress. Huntress was supposed to get a spotlight in the Red Hood series, but since that's been cancelled and Birds of Prey is also not continuing, I need Huntress to get some shine in a solo series.

I totally get studios using whatever way they can to get people in seats, but for teasers and trailers, just drop them online. If it's something like an animated short (like what they did for Olaf's Frozen Adventure ahead of Coco), that's different and more worth that sort of exclusivity, but a 30-second teaser is stretching it. Would have been better to just see it online and get the hype going.

Shadow's great, and I'm thinking of going back and playing Rise and Shadows before Atlantis.

I just started playing Stray as well!

I tend to rock with Charge characters, and Chun-Li is typically one of my favorites in every Street Fighter game. Also a big fan of Guile, C. Viper, and Ibuki, and particularly in Street Fighter V, I adored playing as Gouken. I truly frustrated some friends when I played him lol

I really resisted putting a Debbie Downer GIF in here, but also because I can't figure out how to exactly do that. Whatever, the point is the same! I've really enjoyed what Snyder's been doing in Absolute Batman, and while Absolute Wonder Woman and Absolute Superman are still my favorites, Batman isn't too far behind. I'm not a Joker diehard by any means so I'm all for trying some new things with the character, and dig the flip with Batman. Also I adored the Bane arc, but perhaps that's because I also love when Snyder just gets to do crazy stuff. I will defend DC Metal forever!

as long as we get those big cosmic sequences full of color in the film, I'm okay with them sort of hiding that from the teasers.

This is the one element that sticks out most for me. I get you want to make him distinct, but it just seems odd without some context. Hopefully that happens in the movie, but on face value, not a fan of the redesign.
