  1. We need more Hulks! I'm all for it. I've missed the Savage Hulk version of the character. If they're bringing Grey Hulk into the mix too, even better. The MCU has barely scratched the surface of Hulk's different personalities.
  2. I feel the same. I LOVE Lord of the Rings movies, but wasn't too thrilled with the Hobbit trilogy. I worry the movies will just keep getting worse, but I'm like you, I hope they prove me wrong.
  3. Also, dare I say, TMNT + Lord of the Rings! Just imagine Raphael and Gimli arguing over who gets the most kills, Leo and Aragorn comparing leadership notes, Donatello and Legolas discussing strategy, and Mikey disappearing into the Shire with Merry and Pippin. I'd read that crossover in a heartbeat.
  4. Between new movies, TV shows, and projects like The Hunt for Gollum, it seems like Hollywood isn't done with Middle-earth anytime soon. There is still a lot of material from Tolkien's writings that could be adapted, including entire stories and ages of Middle-earth that have never been explored on screen. Do you think they should keep making Middle-earth movies and TV series, or is there a point where it's better to leave Tolkien's world alone? If they do continue, what story or character would you most like to see adapted?
  5. Oh he definitely fits that category.
  6. I think Tom Holland's Spider-Man still has some gas in the tank and would love for him to stick around while also introducing Miles and Spider-Gwen. We could get the best of both worlds.
  7. What’s everyone’s favorite way to read comics these days? Single issues, collected editions, omnibus hardcovers, digital apps, manga volumes, graphic novels, old back issues from the dollar bins… there are so many different ways to experience them now. I’m probably about 70/30 physical and digital these days. I still love physical media, but it’s hard to beat how easy it is to bring a tablet almost anywhere. That said, graphic novels are still really easy to travel with too. What does everyone else prefer?
  8. I still think it’s a great series, but it does kind of feel like we may be approaching the natural end of it. Oddly enough, the new movie almost seems aware of that too with the whole toys vs. technology angle. Kids today grow up with tablets, phones, and games almost immediately, and a lot of physical toys end up getting left behind once electronics enter the picture. In a weird way, that feels symbolic of Toy Story itself. My kids stopped playing with toys about a year ago and mostly play games and use electronics now. I still catch myself wanting to grab them toys when I see something cool, before remembering that phase has kind of passed. Maybe that’s why this one feels more emotional to me than just “another sequel.” The scene where Andy goes to college and the toys are watching him drive away from the porch still gets me to this day!
  9. 50/50 is still pretty good! I think it's safe to say that we all buy way more books than we read, but that's also part of the fun of collecting! I have bought so many comics because they had a cool cover and never read them, but now I try to stick to titles I know I'll eventually read, but I now have books all over the place 😂 Kindle definitely is a game changer.
  10. I was looking through my books and comics today and started wondering how many I’ve actually read cover to cover. I realized I have way more books sitting on my shelves that I’ve never cracked open than I thought. I even found an entire box of Batman graphic novels I haven’t touched yet. My goal now is to start working my way through them instead of constantly adding more to the pile. If you had to guess, what percentage of your collection have you actually read?
  11. I plan on watching it today! It looks really good.
  12. He-Man does look pretty good! I saw another preview today and it looks fun!
  13. I do like the vibe I got when I saw the previews! It reminded me of Guardians of the Galaxy.
  14. Same! I like how many of the scenes so far match up to famous comic covers. I can't wait to see it.
  15. There are so many superhero movies and shows being announced right now that it’s getting hard to keep track of them all. Which upcoming project are you actually the most excited for right now?
  16. Cool! I may check it out once I finish up a few series. There are so many great shows out there it's hard to make time for all of them.
  17. There are too many to choose from! I always liked when the Ewoks were celebrating when I was a kid. It was such a great feeling.
  18. I actually haven't watched any episodes, can they be watched without knowing anything about the comics?
  19. I'm going with Doomguy! He's an unstoppable force and would no doubt survive anything.
  20. One War to Rule them All
  21. For some reason I didn't even think of Gandolf lol I guess I always thought of him as outside, but I guess he is a member of the Fellowship.
  22. Oh definitely! I'm so far behind on other series though, so it may be a while before I get to it.
  23. FantasticJerome replied to timp77's topic in Movies
Definitely! I still haven't watched the first season, but I've heard it's good!
