October 5, 2025Oct 5 I was always selling my action figures at garage sales because I wanted new things. In hindsight, I should have kept a bunch of that stuff:Entire set of the original hard head TMNT figures.Thundercats team plus Mummra and ThunderclawLoads of G1 Transformers (thankfully I kept my G1 Optimus and trailer - plus Grimlock)Might Morphin’ Megazord, Dragonzord, and TitanusAnything you wish you’d hung on to now that’s worth real money? Or you just wish you still had?
October 6, 2025Oct 6 Not lost or sold, but my entire comic book collection, which I started buying in the late 70s through about 1986 or 1987, was in a storage shed in my grandparents' backyard when I left for college. I came back and was told a tree had crashed into the top of the shed during a storm. All my comics were either water-damaged or eaten by termites by the time we got into them. I did give most of my action figures that survived my mom's old garage sales to my son.
October 6, 2025Oct 6 Author That stinks. My dad sold back a bunch of ours. I wish I’d gone through them before he did - but we kept a few of the good/memorable ones. That’s a bummer your entire collection was lost. 😞
October 6, 2025Oct 6 CB Team Had All the G1 Transformers (most in Mint) and the entire TMNT line, with major accessories like the Terradome, Turtle Van, Sewer Lair playset (with Ooze) and all the wild bit character mutants that popped back up in Mutant Mayhem. I was in college and too hurt/edgelord that my parents were moving and acted like IDGAF when they put them all out in boxes for the yard sale. I was MAN. (Now I'm just a forever wounded boy... 🥲)
October 7, 2025Oct 7 CB Team Some of my collectibles mysteriously vanished when I went away to college. I still wonder what became of my Fruits Basket Kyo plushie. I also regret that I always exchanged older gaming consoles at GameStop to get new ones. I would love to revisit some Nintendo DS games and wish I still had mine.

October 7, 2025Oct 7 CB Team Somehow, I actually have all of my childhood toys and collectibles. My mom owned an antiques business and was very good at storing and preserving things and because I worked for her as a kid (paid in snacks and book money, I'm sure) I started learning that people held onto things and they sometimes were valuable. There's an entire corner of my dad's basement right now that is pretty much nothing but my collectibles from childhood and my childhood bedroom still has all of my Star Wars and Jurassic Park figures in their boxes up along the wall as decor.I'm pretty sure we even still have all of my old game systems and now I know what I'm going to be doing at my dad's house over the holidays: looking for them.
October 8, 2025Oct 8 My old Pokemon card collection. On the one hand, I sold it about 10 years ago to pay bills, so it enabled me to live at a time when I had no job. On the other hand, I sold it to a card shop for about $1,000. I knew it was worth more even at that time, but I was desperate and the shop owner could tell. Today, individual cards from that collection are worth more than what he paid me for all of them. It was hundreds of cards in total and I had all kinds of 1st edition and/or shadowless base set, jungle, and fossil holos, a full southern islands set + binder, black star promos from the movie theater and VHS, my hometown Pokemon League, the video games, and Nintendo Power. They were very well cared for and the most valuable thing I had at the time.It broke my heart (I cried), but hey, everyone's gotta eat!
October 12, 2025Oct 12 The original Game Boy and the Tamagotchi handheld digital pet. Both were given to me by my Japanese roommate when I was studying abroad. Lost in a lost baggage mishap when traveling back at the end of the semester. Probably stuck in some warehouse of lost luggage somewhere in East Asia.
October 13, 2025Oct 13 My entire collection of GI Joe from the 80s. And the 2 metal Voltrons I had! Thundercats collection and my Die Cast ERTL Cars (I had like 40 of them)
October 17, 2025Oct 17 These days we record them before we get rid of them.My collection from a decade ago...https://rumble.com/v6uba5p
October 17, 2025Oct 17 CB Team Mine were definitely my old Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles figures, the originals from when I was a kid. I got them when they first came out. They went missing for decades and I actually found them again a few years ago. Then last December we had a house fire and somehow those figures were one of the few things I managed to save. They still smell like the fire even after nearly a year, but I couldn't let them go.I still subscribe to the TMNT comics and grab anything turtle related I can find. Honestly, I'm surprised I don't have a TMNT tattoo yet 😂Those turtles pretty much raised me. 🐢💚
November 26, 2025Nov 26 I used to have a colorful plastic 45 record player that you could buy a comic(Johnny Quest, Superfriends, G.I.Joe,)that had a flimsy record attached to it. A narrator would add to the story in the comic and there was super funky music in the background. Makes me smile when I think of it.
